Guys, CHILL
Everyone is complaining so much about these bugs. Do they suck? Yes.
But I have seen person after person attacking Behavior and you know what? It's so uncalled for. By keeping this up, you'll make the team want to stop giving us amazing chapters like these.
Of course there's going to be bugs with the release of a chapter. There will always be bugs with the release of a chapter. They can't possibly find every single bug before they release it. Plus, their testing is only with a fraction of the player base. You can't expect them to test the game with a small amount of people and then release it to thousands of people and have there be no bugs. It just doesn't work like that.
Relax. They WILL be fixed. You don't need to be playing DbD 24/7. Let them do their job, thank them for their work, maybe go outside for ONCE in your life, and then come back when it's finished.
If you don't like these bugs every chapter, then just stop playing. Find a new game. We don't want to be a crappy community who hates on the developers. Making games is hard work.
TLDR: if you're mad about bugs, just find a new game. There will always be bugs at first, stopp harassing the developers.
EDIT: y'all I didn't say you CANT complain or be upset, I'm saying stop harassing Behavior, stop sending their team threats, I've seen so much of that. You can be upset but be civil and don't threaten people.

Tell that to all the people on console/with low end PCs who can't play the game because of the unbearable lag this update has brought, as if it wasn't bad enough.
Listen, I understand not every update and chapter is going to be perfect and I in no way support harassing the developers but you have to think, how did they screw up so bad?
32 -
Mr Cote is that you?
15 -
Uncalled for?
Oh buddy, if you've been playing as long as us then you would know it is HEAVILY called for.
17 -
I am on console, and like I said earlier, bugs suck. It's okay to be upset about them, but I have seen so many people on this forum and on Twitter harassing the developers.
They didnt screw up at all. They just can't get every single bug in testing because there isn't the same amount of people in the server as in the regular games. And even if you do consider it screwed up, they've been working on fixing them right away

I've been playing since release, and I've seen the game improve a lot over time. Additionally, harassment is never called for.
0 -
Why do they have a QA team if the update STILL releases like that?
19 -
I am not going to stay in silence after they asked me 12€ for a DLC, aditionally, 50€ on skins that in a few hours later went more forced to buy together with no explanation, then even ignoring all these prices by ignoring the DLC I get the rest of my game ######### because apparently 3 weeks of testing wasn't enough for so many bugs making the game unplayable

People paid for a product and service.
They are incapable of using product and service.
Product and service is not working as intended.
They have every right to complain.
Admittedly, yes, there IS something to be said about learning from the past, but telling people not to be upset over a flawed product ain't it.
23 -
Ah, so despite everything you still love BHVR?
Sorry, but that makes you a SIMP
5 -
no one's forcing you to buy the DLC. You chose to buy it yourself despite knowing bugs occur often after chapter releases. Plus, the game WILL become playable. Just give it a few days and I'm sure many of the bugs will be solved because the developers work hard

There's a difference between a regular bug and something that totally breaks the game because right now a lot of people are unable to play until they fix this. Once again, nobody should be harassing the devs but you cannot tell me its excusable. You have to hold things like this accountable because if you don't it'll never get better. Look at EA as an example.
8 -
Jesus christ, not only are you fighting the survivors, but you're fighting the game as well.
9 -
It didn't break the game, they shut down the servers so they could fix the bugs because everyone was complaining. It was playable before, and I know because I played multiple games (on console, where most of the problems were) and I could still play.

No it's entirely justified. We pay money for this game and yet we're giving chapters and Mid-Chapters that can barely run properly without lagging back and to the side. With animations pausing loosing enjoyment and games. This issue has been happening a while with a majority of console and even some PC suffering this. And now it's exploded.
10 -
Big oof. Where you here for the bidding of kin and how the killer was literally unplayable? But they couldn't fix it because they were on vacation :(. How about link sets? People got scammed. Now if they own a single piece of the Jill set they can't use it without buying a head which is the same as the default one. Theres no excuse for them theyre not a small indie company they make millions. Whats the point of having a ptb if its gonna be filled with bugs?what about the console and low graphics pc users? Like seriously man at this points its a joke.

I won't say that anyone here doesn't have a right to be pissed, nor will I personally tell anyone to stop complaining. That said, I do wish that the forum in general would try to relax a little bit and give BHVR some time to work this out. I know that isn't fun and doesn't feel fair (and maybe it isn't, that's not for me to say) but being wound up about it isn't going to make the problems get fixed any faster, it's just going to keep everyone upset.
I'm not trying to be condescending because I've been here before (as obviously many of you have as well). It sucks. But at the moment there's nothing we can do. They're aware of all of these issues - VERY aware - you can bet that there are even more vocal people sending them reports and emails that would get people banned here - so really the best we can do is try to de-escalate and just accept that it's happened while waiting for a fix.

I'm sorry but this ain't free mobile game we payed for this game and we get bullshit forever from them on console they refuse to do single thing for us and they screw up each update more and more and ppl telling us to go play another game if we don't like it listen carefully refund our money and we will gladly delete it right away
9 -
Yep,it really is unplayable.
It's a new chapter and i was excited to play the new characters and have fun grinding for them.
This update however completely killed that motivation so far amd it's really depressing.
This is DbDs biggest chapter yet and it still arrived in such a pathetic state.
This is not what we as a community deserve
9 -
Cool, you could still play, doesn't mean others couldn't. Stop making excuses for these guys. We've been having optimization issues for years now and this just made it 100x worse.
They may work hard but what makes you think they shouldn't be held accountable?
8 -
"you'll make the team want to stop giving us amazing chapters like these."
Amazing ? at 85%, yes. Free ? NO
The thing is DBD it's a not a f2p game, and people "invest" money to enjoy the game, the chapters and the
overpricedskins that support the BHVR. If people wanna complain, they are free to do it.It's the same story every patch ! And many people have little time to play the game (work, studies, family...)
9 -
Low-end PCs? Bestie I spent over 1.3 grand on this PC and it still stutters at this game.
8 -
they’re not gonna give you free blood points for posting this lol
8 -
Goes to show what we're dealing with. It's ridiculous.
5 -
My rig is twice that amount and it still stutters. Any other game, and it's high res graphics packs, ultra settings, 144 framerate. DbD, it's always Chipotle night.
3 -
it's genuinely unacceptable at this point. i shouldnt have to stick a ######### tower fan in the side of my PC just to play this game without passing out from heatstroke.
2 -
You do know that there's more people then you. And your experience doesn't equal everyone else's?
5 -
I agree with the harassment point, nobody should be doing that. However I disagree with the rest.
For starters, I don't think writing a condescending thread is going to help people agree with you here, it'll only make them disagree with you more.
"There will always be bugs with the release of a chapter. They can't possibly find every single bug before they release it."
That's why the PTB is a thing, however that has been proven time and time again that it's useless because there have been cases where bugs in the PTB are carried over to the live version and sometimes the live version includes more bugs than what was shown. Look at A binding of kin for example.
"their testing is only with a fraction of the player base. You can't expect them to test the game with a small amount of people and then release it to thousands of people and have there be no bugs. It just doesn't work like that."
I think after playing several PTB's in a row with little to no bug fixes, we gathered that already. Also the developers ask us to report any bugs we find in the PTB TO the forums so they can investigate on it, so of course we expect them to fix those bugs. However they ignored all feedback regarding the reworked HUD when it first released, they failed to fix any bugs in the Twins PTB and a binding of kin pretty much released unfinished.
"You don't need to be playing DbD 24/7"
I have never seen a player who does that, if they do they need to go to a hospital.
"Let them do their job, thank them for their work."
Oh we've let them (even though it's not our decision) several times, but I'll thank them once DbD has got rid of ALL the bugs (which probably won't be for a while).
"If you don't like these bugs every chapter, then just stop playing."
Telling us to simply "stop playing" isn't going to silence us just because there's a minority who disagree with our criticism. While most of the time the criticism is valid, I will admit there are times people cross the line. However I don't think it's fair to tell those with valid criticism to just "stop playing" as you're overlooking the issue and diminishing their argument.
"Just find a new game."
Reminds me of that Mathieu Cote quote.

I respect your response. I didn't mean for this post to be condescending to anyone other than the people who I'm talking about, which are those who are harassing and threatening the team.
Like I said before, bugs suck. It does suck we have to deal with it. And it sucks that we have them despite PTB, and of course I'll hold the team accountable. But they have already fixed the problem (DBD servers are up again and you can now play). Again, it's hard for them to catch all the bugs in PTB and there will be new ones upon release because of the different server size. You can be upset about the bugs, but harassing and threatening people isn't okay. And I think you are focusing on purely the times bugs haven't been fixed from PTB to release, because there have been a lot of bugs that have been fixed.
The 24/7 thing was a joke. Obviously.
I said thank the developers because I'm sure a lot of them are under stress. You can still thank the developers and be upset at the same time. Here's and example: "I'm upset about the bugs and I feel that you Behavior developers need to do better, and I expect you to do better, but thank you for working on fixing them in such a timely manner." It's not that hard to be civil and respectful. It's not so black and white.
I'm not trying to silence those who are upset. They can speak. But those who are harassing and threatening others are ######### people and they do need to stop doing that. Plus, may I remind you that harassment is illegal? Those who are so upset with the game that they are resorting to violent behavior like harassment need to stop playing. Them resorting to illegal actions that can mentally harm a person (which the developers are) is not worth it. Those are the people that need to stop playing. Additionally, no one is forcing people to buy DLC. Those who are complaining and are upset don't have to spend their money on it. If these bugs are such a known problem, these people should know not to buy the DLC until the bugs get fixed. No matter what, the base game will still be playable. But if people are getting so upset time and time again, there are other games they can play that are similar. By moving to another game, they can stop supporting Behavior, which many seem to want.

it’s been five years. how do you release a map and have to disable it immediately upon release because it crashes at the start of trials? how do you release a patch that is bricking people’s consoles? kinda called for, in all honesty.
5 -
You think people want them to keep giving us chapters like this? If anything you're encouraging them when you say that they'll make the team want to stop giving us these "amazing" chapters (heavy sarcasm on the "amazing.")
Not that I condone threatening employees or whatever, but telling people to just stop playing is one of the worst things you could say. I'll never understand when people are so simple to say this, that they don't understand no fixes = no players = no money for the company = no game for you. Not to mention games that shrink in popularity tend to get increased queue times (we already see it in individual roles, with killer or survivor queues getting long or short depending on certain changes).
Please edit your post or something.
Edit: Speaking of editing posts... No, when I say "fixes" I do not mean "fix these current bugs." I mean fix what's causing all these problems. It's not just "oh, silly post patch day bugs again." The game is literally unplayable for certain people, the new map that was on the PTB for like 2 weeks or whatever gets taken down day 1 of launch and people don't even get to play it. These are things that indicate internal problems. Those problems need to be fixed.

As much of a fan I am for this game, this is the WORST optimized online multiplayer game I've ever played in my life.

Happy now OP?

Bugs are just one problem. They also added ANOTHER killer that is D or Low C tier, but somehow still not fun to play against.
