Kindred should be changed

Right now, Kindred has the activated perk icon and shows that you're affected by it, whenever someone is hooked, by having the little icon diagonally bottom left to the perks (Kindred users will surely understand).

In my opinion Kindred should be changed in the following way:

1. When nobody is hooked, Kindred is deactivated (the Perk doesn't glow, just like Inner Strength before cleansing a totem for example)

2. When you are hooked, Kindred activates and does its job. When a teammate without Kindred is hooked, the Perk also activates.

3. When a teammate is hooked and both of you run Kindred, your Kindred perk stays deactivated, but you'll get the little icon next to your perks that you are affected by someone else's Kindred (like when you're affected by a Freddy add-on for example).

Hope it was somewhat understandable and maybe someone agrees that this would make the Perk even better for solo players.

EDIT: sorry for posting it in the wrong topic, I haven't been here in a year or so :(

I dont really understand what you mean.

Because Kindred is also active when you are running it and the person who is on the Hook is not using it. So it would still be active at this point.

I don't understand what you mean, but again I'm not the smartest man...

On a personal level, kindred is great how it is and i run it almost 100% of the times I'm in solo queue

You're right, I edited it. It's kinda hard to explain, without me having pictures of what I mean rip

If it was changed the way I intend it to, people will see that they are affected by the hooked person's Kindred. If I alone run Kindred and sit on the end of the map, my Kindred just shows me that it's active. But I don't know if I see them all, because eof my Kindred or because of the hooked person's Kindred. Therefore I still don't know if someone else is gonna go for the save if they are way closer to them, you know what I mean? :)

I might be on the ignorant side of the question but... Doesn't every one see each others auras once someone with kindred has its perk activated?

No, if you run Kindred. You see the others. If the hooked person runs Kindred, everyone sees everyone. But if someone without Kindred is hooked and you are the only one that has it, you only see the others and they still don't know who's gonna save, you know?

I just want the icons changed for a slightly better indication of who is running Kindred, which would in my opinion help get survivors of their (first) hook

Good idea. It’s good to know if someone else is running kindred

I think I understand what they mean.

With the change, they will know if the hooked person has kindred too, so they know if all other survivors have their same amount of information.

    It's actually an interesting change

So the idea is to know if you're seeing auras because of your kindred or the hooked survivor's kindred, right?

Because if so, I agree. You see the auras either way, but knowing that the other survivors do too is rather useful information. Not 100% necessary or anything but it would be nice, as I sure run into that situation often as I absolutely love using Kindred.

Yes, ok you guys got it, thank you :D Was kinda hard for me to explain but I think the feedback will be positive and it'd improve solo survivors experience a tiny bit more.

    Ok, so basically:

Survivor A is on the Hook with Kindred, Survivor B has it as well. Because Survivor A has it, Kindred of Survivor B is greyed out and there is this little Icon.

If Survivor A does not have Kindred and Survivor B gets the information because of their own Kindred, their Perk will light up and they wont get the little icon.

If thats what OP mean, yeah, it would be an interesting change to see that everyone has the information due to the other persons Kindred.
