Huntress hatchet hitbox needs to be nerfed

When you look at Nemesis tentacle, Deathslinger gun and Trickster knives, her hatchets are just absurd with how big the hitboxes are.
Theres even clips comparing them, and she just comes out has broken.

Agree'd, they should of kept the hitboxes from when they released Spirit. That was the one and only time they attempted to fix her hitboxes, but it was buggy and they just gave up and returned the original hit box. If they would of just fixed the issues that came along with the hitboxes I don't think we would have nearly as many complaints about her as we do now

This hitboxes are fine, any smaller and it just doesn't work.
Almost every bad hit you get from a hatchet is a result of latency, and that's not something that can be fixed by just changing hitbox parameters.

She literally throw fridges. Not hatchets

If they shrink their hitboxes than they should increase the amount of hatches she can carry as a tradeoff

And most the time it's not because the player has good aim either. You can see clearly that Huntress will throw aimlessly many times and still get the hit. Ever been struck by a hatchet from across the damn map? And while you are running and not just repairing or something

Agreed. You don’t even need to pretend to aim to hit survivors. It’s been busted forever.

How many latency hits happen with trickster or slinger?

Yeah, that's a fine size. It's not a fridge, it's not a truck, it's a ball. And any time you get hit like 9 feet to the left or right or around walls and corners is not because of the sphere, it's because the game is registering your hit where you were 1 or 2 seconds ago on your screen.

+1 although its also related to the dedicated servers, you can see the same happening with deathslinger and he doesn't have a giant hitbox. But obviously if they reduce the giant hitbox of hatchets those fake hits would reduce. You can literally be downed after breaking LOS in corners wich its really fake an annoying.

Also other thing to note, the survivor you play may give the impression a hatchet is not supposed to hit, specially with female survivors, while visually they are smaller they still have the same hurtbox as males wich are usually taller, thus the illusion of BS hits.

Slinger, Nem, etc. all hit you and it makes sense. Not once have I gone "Wow, I don't understand how that even connected" non-sense. Just honest gameplay, crap servers included.

The rectangular box hitbox wouldn't work as the hatchets are spinning.
This means it will need to have a at the smallest a gain coin like hitbox to cover anywhere it could be in its spinning animation.
Its also why the newer projectiles don't spin as if they did they'd need the same type of hitboxes that hatchets have.

All the other ranged killers have passable projectile hitboxes.
She probably suffers from being the first killer with ranged attacks.
They absolutely need to redo how her hatchets work. It's completely idiotic in 2021 from a professional game developer to have a ranged attack this unrealistic and bad.
I used to love watching streamers like umbra play huntress but it's borderline cringe to see her consistently hit people around corners or literal feet away from the hatchet due to jank hatchets.

Then why are slinger and trickster punished with small hitboxes? It’s only fair they get big ones too right?

To be honest though if a huntress is hitting more than 1 cross map snipe in a single match you probably have bigger problems in that match than the hitbox size

At least change her hatchets to boomerangs if they're gonna keep the ability to hit people around corners.
