Dead By Daylight: Resident Evil DLC

So lets see. Nemesis. Well i wanna just give a big fat ######### no to this new killer. Nemesis alone makes the game completely unfair, without even mentioning the other problems with the game already. Nemesis is impossible to escape from. You cant use basic escapes like pallets and windows because he ignores both and in his tier 2 he can instantly destroy pallets without problem. The range on his whip is intense even without tier 3, and gets worse with it. He can see the zombies, so if a survivor is being chased he can immediately locate them. Nemesis is completely unfair to anyone who doesn't run specific perks that can be used to escape from him and even with the perks you still have to be lucky enough not to ratted out by the zombies scattered around the map. Although other killers such as pyramid head, huntress, deathslinger and trickster can also attack through windows and pallets they require skill where with nemesis all you gotta do is lure the survivor to a window or pallet and just whip them. I feel like nemesis is only going to cause many people to change to a killer main just so they don't have to deal with his broken mechanics. My honest opinion is the devs need to either majorly nerf nemesis or remove him from the game. I'm not exactly new to the game but i wouldn't say I'm experienced and yet while trying to learn how to play survivor, a DLC like this with a killer that broken really isn't doing me any favour apart from putting more obstacles in my way before i can even deal with the ones already there

" I'm not exactly new to the game but i wouldn't say I'm experienced and yet while trying to learn how to play survivor"

There is the main issue. As a 4 years player and a lot of hours in this game as much as survivor AND killer, A lot of people say he is a very low tier killer which I disagree on some points because yes he can be very strong. His true strenght is in anti looping potential. So yes a good nemesis will be able to destroy walls and pallets quickly in chase withtout losing a survivor from sight. Also, zombies can be good traps for loopers (still are very situational because there are only two of them and are rarely where you want them to be).

Remember these tips as I played as him and against him:

    1. As his tentacle may be a good anti looping weapon, as long as you are not contaminated, you are safe.
    2. That said, avoiding to get contaminated so he won't abuse you late game when all vaccines will be consumed can make you win a lot of time against his tentacle attacks, because yes, at the moment you are contaminated, a good nemesis can be very strong in chase against looping if he uses his tentacle, so if you manage to be a good looper you will avoid him to get stronger and stronger as the game goes on.
    3. Learn to know when and how to avoid his tentacle strike: you always hear when he is preparing a tentacle strike by this wetty sound. So, if you hear it when you are passing a pallet, try to anticipate the strike, dont drop the pallet so you wont be caught in the drop animation.
    4. Remember that preparing his tentacle strike decreases his movement speed a bit, so you can keep running and turning a corner mid-loop and try to win some chase time
    5. His tentacle strike is straight forward of the killer, you can try to run in zigzags to avoid it.
    6. Finally, when you are looping him with low obstacles/walls where he could strike you from the other side, forget what you learned about looping and stay far away from the angles and obstacles. You may think it is counter-productive because sticking to walls is essential to keep a distance from the killer in looping, but rememebr that while charging his tentacle, his movement speed is reduced, you won't let him catch up to you, so easily.

Hope this could help! Because in higher ranks, IMO Nemesis is not bad at all like a lot say, but I don't think he is OP at all.

Thanks for the amazing advice. I guess the real problem is that I'm so used to the other killers being better at short range rather than long range. Apart from Deathslinger every other killer focuses mostly around hitting your primary attack where as Nemesis is focused on hitting targets a little further away. I will mention that, Just like with the damn plague, there are greedy survivors that take all the vaccines for themselves, whereas i am used to plague and choose not to use them right away because its only going to help momentarily. I still don't agree that nemesis should be able to hit through windows and pallets, even with tier 2, where i believe he should prioritise the pallet over the survivor on the other side. Just a side point, i haven't seen the broken zombies ever. I play on PlayStation where they work fine, a little too well in fact, to the point i nearly died to one because i thought the range was smaller

He never loses his tiers, that's why I say he gets stronger as the game goes on.

Not sure either if you can avoid a tentacle strike by crouching on low walls, but it is a better solution to go further of this wall than crouching IMO because it may give you the opportunity to run away if Nemesis decides to stop the loop and changing direction, so you have more escape routes (when he tries to mindgame you by turning back then walking reverse, etc)

When you say ziggzaging can cause nemesis to stop charging tentacle then hit you, yes of course it will happen (exactly like pyramid head), zigzagging when he is close to you enough is your last resort, other wise don't zigzag and try to keep your distance.

According to other survs using vaccines, wasting them and get contaminated right away... unfortunately this is the sad truth: there will always be bad survs who don't think with their brains :( That's why I say: try to not get contaminated too early. Easier said than done I agree, but like I said, as long as you are not contaminated, you are safe from the 1st tentacle strike.

Keep going my friend I'm sure you will get enough skilled to think the same way soon :)

Also, I don't know your looping skills. If you think you are not decent, have you tried to equip flashlight and actually try to improve by not hiding but RUNNING from the killer even if he haven't see you before? :) Because hiding can be very good yes, but if killer finds you while you crouch in a corner, it is a free hit, but if you already started running you will have kept your distance right away and you will have earned lot more time than if he finds you and hit you in less time.

My looping skills are trash. I can never really predict what the best path round is because i will run one way while the killer follows on the other side closing the gap between us, and without the pallet or window for some safety i get hit without chance of escape. also since i play on PlayStation its much harder to blind the killer because the controls are not the easiest to aim with. Of course that doesn't mean i wont try to use your advice, just gonna be harder to get into a good system with it because each map comes with its own problems.
