Trapper - 5 Gens in 4mins 20s, Is this the game that BHVR wants to create, the competitive one?
Yes, I am playing trapper with very close to 5k hours, I am sure I have played without fail because I should be punished in this way? 1 player behind removing all the traps and 2 of them repairing or 3, the trapper can NOT do anything against this and the gens falling so fast is not fun.
They are forcing us to play strong killers and play boring games, tunneling and camping to avoid all this, AND I DON'T LIKE THE TYPE OF GAME.
I would like you to be civilized commenting, because I know that this does not happen "usually" but it happens normally ...
This is the game that you are focusing on doing BHVR? Well, I don't sign.

I've had this exact situation happen to me yesterday on Mother's Dwelling.
The moment I got that map as Trapper I wanted to DC, I'm gonna be honest with y'all.
They were SWF, and were precautious around grass, and would tell others where my traps were. The 4 flashbangs and 4 blast mines they brought didn't make my job easier nor more enjoyable.

Trapper is one of the killers in this game where he can't compete with competent / decent survivors.
22 -
Shift + W meta. And generators are flying. Survivors doing this to normal/nice killers. And then they are crying about camp and tunnel.
Killer mains have to play with top tier killers. And with meta perks. And tunnel/camp when you need that. You are not daddy of survivors, you do not need to be nice. Just kill them and let them write salty messages on your profile.

The game could of gone better. Some things to point out:
•As soon as the 3rd gen popped, you should of left chase to try to trap up the closest 3 gens you had on one side of the map.
•You overcommitted to the Zarina, which ended up with her taking you to the sole gen you should’ve ignored.
Ultimately none of these decisions would’ve resulted a win, only an inevitable end, with the exception of the probability of more hooks.
The problem does remain of low mobility killers and the coordination of teams on comms.
12 -
It wouldnt have made much of a difference, but trapper needs one of his iridescent addons, bloody coil, or iridescent stone, to be at least somewhat viable against a good team in my opinion. Like, at least you would have been able to put your power to some use.

Thats actually a kinda long time. I´ve seen all gens getting completed in almost half the time. This just shows how desperate killers are to slowdown gens. Stacking 2 or more slowdown perks, and yet how useless it is.
Also noticed the points in the endscreen? 25k points when there were 3 heals and 1 unhook. Yet people complain that survivors earn less points than killers.
Honestly, playing killer doesn´t pay off points (and stress) wise. Just play survivor. Its clearly easier, more relaxing and more beneficial to play survivor. It also looks like its the role the devs want us to play.
19 -
well maybe otz should stop doing 50 kill streaks with trapper. It gives false impressions that trapper is good. Trapper can't compete so you either accept to play weak killer or do not play trapper at all. Its like that for vast majority of the cast.
8 -
I think if they would have chance, they would change game. Killers would be bots. Like L4D. 4 players vs AI.
Because they do not know how to balance game. Queues so long, so they do not wanna lose more killer. But also they do not wanna make survivors mad because survivors = more cosmetic = more money
8 -
Killers will stop doing 50 kill streaks streams, once the new mmr goes live.
Literally every killer streamer struggled during the mmr tests.
15 -
Well they started with the bots, so now they just need to improve them. Maybe add a "rage" mode which triggers uppon flashlight clicking/teabagging and it would be perfect.

(Shift+W with Gen Rush) blame Devs for creating/buffing killers with no real counter in 1v1. How to loop Nurse on pallet? or Deathslinger? or Trickster? or Victor/Twins? They win 1v1 easily, also with how many dead zones now, what did you expect survivors to do? ofc i will shift+w until i die next to op tree.
This what happen when you remove real counters like looping pallets/windows to please the killers. cuz killers will NEVER be pleased.
4 -
They're supposed to win a 1v1 easily, that's why there are 4 survivors and only 1 killer. It's how asymmetrical games work.
22 -
Add more objectives for survivors, game will be fun. Old Undying did that but survivors made it nerf. So fun.
5 -
Trickster and Twins in the same phrase as Nurse...
Wow...
18 -
Tbf The extra points mainly come from BBQ tbh. Getting 4 WGLF stacks is much harder than 4 BBQ stacks
2 -
There's no false impresion, Otzdarva insists on trapper being on the lowest tier along with myers and other unplayable against coordinated teams killers. He spent such a crazy amount of time on trapper and mastered what the killer can do and what he should do in each situation that he is able to handle and snowball those situations.
Trapper is okay if you're really experienced with him and you're not going against a team of experienced players on comms that can call out your traps, this is a ominous example of how bad it can be, reinforcing the point that this game is really far from being anything close to comp, don't put the blame on people who are doing challenges for content and make their streams go for something else than "open stream, queue up and play, end stream".
6 -
Just wait for all the defenders telling their made up stats like "it's not a problem because 99% of survivors aren't like that" as if spreading out and holding Shift W and M1 is such a crazy difficult task.
11 -
Its not Otz fault that people ate not capable of logical arguments and applying context to data. You should rather blame all the content creators who encourage a toxic and illogical approach to arguing. Otz is not one of them. But yeah its almost laughable how the devs simply do not care for the OG guy even though his problems might be fixed very easily (2 traps baskit or automatically make him generate traps every 30 seconds)

^ this is the problem I have, it's such an easy thing to do and it rewards just way too much, I say this when I play survivor, I prefer dying while I looped and outplayed or if I got outplayed then better, I prefer actually trying to be good at the game not just a holding W bot.
7 -
You played Trapper, a killer known to struggle at more competitive levels.
I am sure I have played without fail
Also, I'm sorry if I sound harsh, but you did not, and I believe this is the real problem. Overestimating your own ability and refusing to see your mistakes leads to fake expectations and to searching the blame in someone else. Instead of blaming the game, analyse what you did wrong and what you could have done better.
2 -
I agree with that, Killers needs buffs in 1v4, like you said more objectives or make all maps samller like coal tower size.
They should win 1v1 but not easily. if survivors experience dosen't help you except in hitting skill checks, then make killers play against bot, they will do shift+w just fine.
They are not as strong, but still good in 1v1. (even tho i think Victor is really really strong killer).
0 -
A good player who's trying to win will do so in the most effective manner possible. Yes, shift+W is very simple, but it doesn't mean everyone who does it is unskilled, nor does it mean you or I are better than them just because we use strategies that are more complicated and less effective.
This is what competitive gaming looks like: using the most efficient strategy to win.

Didn't we have this discussion in a different thread?
As long as survivors can get 3 stacks in a single action, WGLF stacks are easier to get than BBQ stacks.
1 -
Twins are in the top 3 worst killers. But you think they are really really strong.
Out of curiosity, do you main them? Or do you just face them?
1 -
And this is applicable to trapper?
2 -
For the first like, 1 minute and 45 seconds, you had very little pressure on any of the survivors, at this point only then did you decide to commit to a chase. One person was disarming traps before this, but you'd find another, then leave them about 5 seconds later. That's a huge amount of time to have very little pressure, whereas you could've committed to a chase on one of the survivors you found earlier on, potentially hook them and start getting slowdown with PGTW.
Sure, the first 2-3 gens might've gone flying if you did commit to an earlier chase, however this then gives you further pressure and buys you time for the rest of the match, with one person potentially being hooked, one person having to go for the save, and then you'd be able to find and pressure one of the remaining two survivors who should be working on generators at that point.
Usually when I play Trapper, I place 3-4 traps at most (depending on add-ons and where trap spawns are on the map) and then i'll start looking for survivors and place further traps after I get hooks throughout the game
2 -
An observation I have from that video is that the first actual down doesn’t happen until 4 mins and 3 seconds.
For me, regardless of who you are playing that is too long too be in chase meanwhile you are also switching between survivors but not actually committing to one. Gens if the team is efficient will get finished.
You weren’t really pressuring them by only injuring them, because they weren’t even healing. So I would have stopped that strat a long time ago.
2 -
Shift+W
Swf on coms.
"Killer is chasing me, do gens, killer placed traps at x"
5 -
Top 3 worst killers? That was in ptb. They now easily A tier killer imo -if not even S tier-. I don't main them, but i play against all 24 killers, good twins/bad twins players. So i think i can judge better.
Shift+W you mean? yes every killer will have to face this boring method. how to solve this? make maps smaller. and nerf some killers in 1v1 you will have much more fun gameplay for both sides.
1 -
He applied pressure even in the first minute. He chases survivors away from gens multiple times but does not commit until later, first real chase he switches the target after guy uses balanced landing to get to a gym. The killer correctly switches aggro to protect a nearly almost finished generator. But the ace runs to the shack and he knows how to loop.
The killer
5 -
He didn't even HIT someone until 1:47...
3 -
You don't play around pallets against Nurse. You play around structures that block sight and mind game from there OR you try and play immersed. Nurse is slow and loud. You'll know she's coming. These aren't sure fire ways of outplaying her, but there should be no 100% counter to any killer.
3 -
I didn't say Nurse has 0 counter. They were talking about shift+w method and how unfun it is. and i replied why some survivors use it.
1 -
I meant more is trapper so oppressive in the 1v1 that these tactics are necessary? I see your point about some killers, I play pretty much the same way is the survivors in OP's clip when I get a slinger for example but I don't see the need with the vast majority of killers. Also Trickster was a killer you mentioned and I think nerfs are the last thing he needs.
1 -
Yeah man they want us to play the top Killers meanwhile they're busy gutting them. Hillbilly was good boom gutted Nurse sure she was strong asf instantly changed Spirit change likely soon Freddy was strong look what they did to him instantly changed it seems Behavior has listened to one side and the effects of listening to that one side and MMR showcasing at the highest % unless you're a Nurse or Spirit main you can't compete.
This is what needed to be showcased now maybe Behavior will get their head from where the sun doesn't shine and actually start balancing correctly instead of nerfing every Killer that can compete against Survivors RIP Hillbilly you didn't deserve it.
4 -
"instantly"
1 -
Yeah actually instantly Billy was nerfed the second Survivors cried about insta saw Nurse was changed when 5 blinks were cried about which i get that Freddy was changed when Survivors cried about bloodpools and his teleport pressure. The point still stands instead of word picking actually add something to the conversation lmao.

Twins S tier?
Did i miss something?
Anyway, back to topic...
The game is a 4v1. So nerfing killers in 1v1 is a terrible idea. Unless you want a gen repair simulator with almost no killer interaction.
4 -
"Instantly" lmao
1 -
Twins are good if you play them well. It's just a very unfun playstyle for both parties
3 -
But S tier?
1 -
Strong killer does not need camp or tunnel. Play Twins without tunnel or camp, againts good survivors and say for them " A tier " again. Because all Twins players i faced were camper and tunneller.
3 -
I would say the only S tier killers are Nurse, Spirit, and Hag imo. Twins are probably A tier tho
0 -
A tier because their "power" is to camp? Nah, as @Northener1907 said: Twins that don´t camp and tunnel won´t reach A tier.
1 -
Leatherface is strongest killer in game then. Noone can stop him when Leatherface is camping.
2 -
It doesn't really matter the playstyle that gets them to A tier. Being really good at camping, while unfun, is viable and technically a strat. Just because the killers main strat is unsavory to you doesn't make said killer not powerful.
0 -
Then, Bubba S Tier?
1 -
Bubba can't camp effectively and 4k against good Survs. Twins can.
2 -
Bubba is the best camper there is.
Anyway, we should go back to the topic. As its about survivors completeting all gens in 4 minutes.
1 -
Bubba is the best camper there is against bad survivors. Twins are the best camper there is against people who actually know how to play the game and punish camping.
On the topic the guy played bad as one of the worst killers in the game. He had a terrible start and didn't hit a surv until 1:47 and didn't down someone until 4:04. He tried to injure to force them to heal and they didn't. This lead to him getting gen rushed very easily because of lack of pressure. He also committed to Ace and followed him out to the furthest gen that had no work done on it. This isn't a case of gen speeds. It a case of lack of killer pressure on a killer who basically gives up 3 gens at the start of every game.
