What if they removed the 8000 BP cap?
I have been thinking about this recently, and I haven't seen anyone talk about this. As we all know, the max amount of BloodPoints in one category is 8000. What if they removed that cap? I don't really know why there is a BP cap, and I don't see any problems with removing it?

The issue with this is that you could farm with the killer/Survivors allowing you to get max BP in just a single game. It would ruin the economy of dbd

What issue? If people want to farm, then they will do exactly that. Even with the 8k point limit.
Also, there is no economy in dbd.
@Kira4Evr the 8k point limit was originally introduced because the points determined if someone piped. Now that we have emblems, there is really no point in having the limit. Especially since perks like Proof Thyself become useless, since you max out objective points after 1 1/2 gens. Same goes for killer addons that give bonus points. If Wraith equips Distressing and The Beast addon, he maxes out Deviousness points in 4 hits. Totally pointless.
So yeah, the 8k point limit should be removed.

Agreed some killers just cant get max brutality for instance. So id rather reach my 32k as say trapper through deviousness. Not every character has the ability to max out each 8k

Either remove the cap or remove tiers on perks. As originally I believe that perk tiers were a thing to flesh out the blood web and make it a bit more grindy as there were only a few survivors/killers at the time but with that roster growing every 3 months, the grind will get worse and worse which could scare off potential new players.

My point is if the cap doesn't exist then players could grind up to 1mill BP very easily this would ruin the game as it would more or less make the build web completely useless after some time. Say what you will about dbds grind it does help the game more than it hurts it. Imo

I understand this, but what about raising the cap to 10k or 12k?
I'm sure you agree with me that objective category is really easy to max out and survival (sry if it is not the right term, I'm actually playing in french :P) is way harder to get points, especially if you die in the trial.

I see no problem with removing the category cap, it's something I've wanted for ages. Removing that and keeping the 32k match cap would go a long way to be honest. For example, as a survivor, sometimes the killer ends up chasing everyone but you, so you end up sat on gens for most of the game and stop earning points for it after a while and I don't feel like that should happen. Maybe you're playing a killer that very quickly maxes out a category with their power, so then you're getting no points for it for the rest of the match.
This change alongside stuff like introducing the multiple perk bloodwebs much earlier could do a lot for the horrendous constantly growing grind.

I think removing the cap would encourage farming which most players don’t find fun. So I can’t see it happening. I do however think they should increase the 1 million cap though.

I would want to keep a limit, this stops infinite farming games.
But it needs a boost, like 15k

I think it has to some degree. I've seen killers and survivors getting 35k some matches and I don't know why.

Nemesis is bugged and gets Objective points, allowing him to go past 32k. This may be part of what you're seeing.

Raising it to 10.000 would be a very nice start.
I'm really apreciating nemesis' ability to get above the 32K cap

The bloodpoint cap is an unnecessary and outdated mechanic. I'd love to see it gone.

Yes, it is times tiers disappear!
I also think all non-character perks should be unlocked on all characters from the start.
These two small changes would be a great first step in reducing grind.
As for removing the 8k cap, yes please!!!!
There are so many tinny qol changes the devs could do to make the grind of this game more forgiving.
One last suggestion... I wish there was an auto button for the web. Having to sit and pick every little thing is tedious. I wish I could just hit auto select, i don't care what it chooses, and then level my character up resetting the web. If there is something I really want I will pick through it but that is hardly the case.
Please devs... I pray to the entity for qol updates!!!!!!

I wish because the bloodweb is too damn grindy for them to allow us 32000 max bloodpoint per match, without the bonus from BBQ. The excessive grind is one of the reasons I don't play DBD much, I have so many other games I want to play.

They should at least increase the cap of each category to 10k and go from there. I mean come on - Oh no there's a chance to get an extra 8k BP each game. How could BHVR? The Blood economy is going to crash!

Bruh, i'd make so much Deviousness money on Wraith.
I'd actually seriously use "The Beast" - Soot if i focus primarily on getting BP.

Personally i think they should uncap each catagory but keep the overall total capped at 32K or something. This way if you get chased the entire game, you still get a ton of BP and it can't be abused/farmed

I agree. For me if I already get 2 hooks, I mostly go for totems because its much safer than doing Gen while also helping team from Noed.
After escape from getting tunneled, I may earn 8000 Boldness. But doing totems also go to Boldness which doesnt give me anything.

Just keep the cap at 32,000 but remove the 8k per category. Feels ######### awful to do nothing but run killer all game or nothing but gens and know that you aren't getting any additional points.
Also, ######### love the op sharing cat pictures. There needs to be more of this on these forums.

An idea I'd had on that is don't necessarily remove the cap but once you hit the cap of a certain category, further scoring events in it are given to one or more of the others are a reduced rate. So once yo max out Deviousness, any further Deviousness gets spread out between Sacrifice, Brutality, and Hunter.
Alternatively, if a Survivor spends most of their game in chase and barely touches a generator or has a chance to heal a teammate, a portion of their excess Boldness goes to Altruism, Survival, and Objectives.
