T-Virus Infection: Pros and Cons

I haven't gone up against Nemesis yet, but I had a question about doing so that I wanted to ask about: What benefit is there to using the Vaccine vs staying Infected.

With Plague, for example, it's straightforward. If you stay infected, you become one-shottable, if you cleanse, you give Plague Corrupt Purge.

With the T-Virus, it seems like there's no real benefit to vaccinating besides not coughing and making the next whip or zombie hit not damage you. Nemesis gets a lot more progress to his power when he infects a Survivor vs when hits someone already-infected, and gets the Killer Instinct alert when you actually do it.

Between that and the limited number of vaccines, It seems to me like there's less incentive to vaccinate vs keeping the infection. Or, at least, not any incentive to vaccinate before Nemesis hits Tier 3. At that point it doesn't matter if he gains power by infecting you and the powered up whip becomes less dangerous until you're re-infected.

Does that seem right or am I missing something?

Nemesis tier progression doesn't provide him with plague's level of power increase and there's overall not much to be afraid of. Just like the pros you mentioned (which afaik are all the pros of vaccination), cons don't give you a strong incentive to follow any specific strategy.

Yeah pretty spot on. It's very nice to hear the survivor cough even though theyre healthy or even with iron will though but thats about all its good for.
