Huntress Poem
Somewhere in the dark, a sweet melody, her eerie presence befalls us all.
With her voice and ax, she is handy, she will not stop till her prey, her victims fall.
She holds though, deep in her heart, a yearning for something, someone to love.
Crimson red, yet pastel pink, like a dove, her heart breaks free.
And she dances in the snow, riddled with frostbite, but her soul stays warm. She is the Huntress, one with nature alone. But a distant memory of hope. She mourns.
She keeps mourning, while her body feeds. Her soul once warm and pivoted shrivels and wastes. Her love has become limited.
The silhouette of a great elk still haunting her dreams. It's cold murderous gaze. The Whites of its eyes white and burning with passion. And daunting.
As night falls in the red forest the Huntress still hunts. To fill the gap in her heart that was the doing of the elk. She covers her face. Her face which is beautiful, yet cunning. And colder than the beast. The elk.
Her face is covered with blood and hope. As she carries her heavy heart. And her cumbersome emotions. She cannot cope.
Oh, Huntress. Hum until dusk and dawn. But never. Never become the entities pawn. Stay free. Like the mother you had. And she hummed for you. Now you hum for them.
Those little girls that are your only slice of humanity. And yet, every time you lose them, they push you closer to insanity.
