I'm really scared from the upcoming event
All BHVR decisions and patches have just gone downhill in terms of fun and performance, the most important event of the year is about to come and I can't imagine the atrocities that the devs have prepared for us, bugs or not

The fact that the event is recycled is already an atrocity. In my honest opinion, the only redeeming quality about it are the community challenges.

They will work. Either they give 105% to everyone. Or 150% to one player. Or they will make something completely different, but they will do something!

also wasn't there something about some cosmetics being tied to how many crowns get collected in total.

We probably get some kind of offering in the bloodweb, that costs 3k points and awards 5k bonus points.
Instead for what the community has been asking for ages: Tripple BP Event!
Which would be the best thing for all the new players, that started out and don´t really see any progress, because of the few bloodpoints they earn.

You can get Crown-Cosmetics for every original Character. They look slightly different than last year, so "meh" on that one. And if enough Crowns were gathered, everyone will get a David King and Wraith (I think, not sure which Killer) Cosmetic. Similar to the Claudette and Deathslinger ones from last year.

The Cakes are actually better than Tripple BP-Events, usually people burn them during this time to get even more Cakes. So having 3+ Cakes burned should not be a rare occasion at all.
However, there are way too less cakes IMO. Like, the Bloodwebs should have at least 2 Cakes per Bloodweb as default. For Killer it will probably be like this, usually they get 1-3 Cakes per Bloodweb. Survivors on the other hand had like 1 Cake every 2 or 3 Bloodwebs last year, because they also got other Event Stuff. Now with Event Toolboxes as well, probably even less Cakes for Survivors, which will lower the overall BP-gain.
Killers will probably get the same amount as last year, since they will only have Cakes in their Bloodwebs.

I'm glad to be a new player, it'll feel like something super new to me.
But I feel you, having the same event isn't the best...

Sadly not. It is basically the same as last year, but except for Cosmetics as Login-Rewards, we can play for them as a Community.
The Crowns are the only real event-related gameplay and they are lackluster. Especially annoying to get as Survivor, since they will make it that you have to escape with the Crown. So yeah, recycled Event.
But I mostly care for the BPs, I have two Survivors and one Killer who need A LOT of BPs.

You are both lucky and unlucky at the same time.
Lucky because the frustration regarding an recycled event does not apply to you.
And unlucky because being a new player means you've missed DBD's golden age of events, such as Winter Solstice and Moonrise.

Noticed how they reduced the amount of event stuff in the bloodweb during the last "event"? I had between 0 and 2 event things per bloodweb.
When years ago, we could get like 6.

Yeah, extra Bloodpoints are always a good thing, but I was expecting more for the event itself.
I love playing during events and enjoy the unique experiences they provide, but it seems that Moonrise was my final enjoyment.

Yep. Even last year, they reduced the number of Cakes mid-event, I guess when they fixed them. IMO there should really be two cakes per Bloodweb at default and then 1 Event Item for Survivors and an extra cake for Killers.
But they are not that generous with those anymore, sadly.

I really want to get Nemesis to P350 during it but I'm so scared there's going to be some bug that resets prestige or screws with your BP.

Tbh, they should just release the event for now and make it a month as compensation for the trash they released with the chapter and now the hotfix. The hotfix made the game even worse to play for me personally.
