Preserve the image of certain characters...
"We had to fix the cosmetics glitch in order to preserve the image of certain characters, like our licensed ones, which means we are often unable to sell additional outfit pieces separately."
Ok like so I understand but when there are skins of the characters that look like THIS?!?!?! it kinda seems silly even if it is the license holders fault.
I just think its really silly of an argument(also this was just an excuse to post chris redfields alternative skins) But like also if these skins ever showed up in DBD, now those I would buy 👀

Which part of the license holders having the final say of what outfits they could use for the game, goes above your head?
So what if they have ridiculous outfits in their own game, it's Capcoms property. So they can do whatever they want and decide what other companies that have gotten the right to use their characters likeness in another game series get to do with them.
So, want to complain? Direct it towards Capcom.

lol I legit said that and I quote "even if it is the license holders fault."

And yet, you had to ask
"Ok like so I understand but when there are skins of the characters that look like THIS?!?!?!"
Bhvr still has no say in the matter, they still don't the characters so they can't do whatever they want to them. So why are you posting just another pointless thread instead of contacting Capcom and negotiate a deal to add the skins you want to the game?

Being able to modify the appearance of in-game characters was the topic of deep discussion for years on the THQ WWE wrestling game forums. Players were constantly asking for the right to modify the way the characters looked and we were told, over and over again, that the developers were not allowed to implement such a thing - and in fact were instructed to actively discourage it - by the license holder, in that case WWE. I was able to verify this myself, in person, during a discussion with some of the series' developers in 2013. It would take years before WWE finally began to relent on the issue.
We made the same point as the one here in this thread: That "are you kidding WWE? With how insanely stupid you've made some of these people look in real life"?
Didn't matter. :)

i mean isnt the point of forum to discuss? If you dont like the discussion move on lol. And the reason of the post was to discuss about how EVEN IF IT IS CAPCOM/KONAMI/ETC that wanted the sets linked, that it was silly due to the skins that they have in their own game lol. Calm down, get yourself some ice cream and relax haha, its just a discussion XD
