PS5 - Infinite Kindred after somebody DC'd on hook

I was on The Game and one of my teammates got hooked & had Kindred which was working fine until they DC'd. As you can see in this screenshot, nobody is on hook but the Kindred icon is located in the bottom right as well as the fact that I can see my teammates auras. I was able to see them the entire game. However, I could not see the killers aura.
This is the first time I've had this happen. My bad if this is a duplicate.
