Does Open Handed help maps?

I always assumed it extended the map tracking range, but after really thinking about it, and taking into consideration that map tracking works differently (adding anything within the maps range to the map for you to see the aura of) I'm now wondering if it even helps maps.
So, does Open Handed enhance maps? Or not?

Yes it works on any aura reading ability

Are you sure? It seems to have no effect when I use it with a map.

I'm like 90% sure. Remember once you add something to a map it's on there for the rest of the game so to test you would need to do it it in two games.
