Range of sounds: lockers

Hello something happened in my game and... it felt like a bug or a cheat but made me wonder: what is the range of the locker sound when you slowly go in or out of it?

My case against a nurse: She kicked a gen, walked away. I saw her far away thanks to kindred then I slowly went out of the locker. I'm not sure of the exact distance but I would say about 70-80%% of a hallway's length in Midwich. As soon as the locker did a little sound from opening/closing the door she INSTANTLY turned back. I hid behind the gen and she went straight to the locker to check it. No hestitation, she clearly heard the locker.

As a killer I struggle to hear a locker as soon as I'm 10+ meters away from it. How can this nurse hear it from about 30+ meters?

What's the actual range of the sound?

It's not that large of a radius, it could have been lag related. So she didn't necessarily see you maybe cuz of distance, but she saw the locker door move when she turned to look at the gen. It also could have been what I do sometimes when paranoid when a locker is right next to a gen. I kick a gen then leave and get paranoid about the locker so I go back to investigate and get disappointed.

Not sure on the exact radius of the sound, but it definitely shouldn't be audible from that far away.

My first thought is Iron Maiden, but that wouldn't make sense since you didn't mention getting exposed and she would be able to see your aura if Iron Maiden went off. Bit strange.

Potentially she could've just looked back at the gen she kicked after blinking away to check if any survivors went back on it - I sometimes do that if I think a survivor could've been in that area but I didn't have the time to properly check. Maybe she saw movement or thought she saw the gen being tapped and blinked back, but didn't know exactly where you were so opened the locker.

Without footage, it's a bit hard to tell, but maybe I'm just being stupid here and forgetting that a perk exists or something XD

Well it happened on Midwich and gen was in a room, hook was in a hallway further away so she couldn't see anything from where she was. Also she walked and didn't blink. When she came back into the room she didn't look left or right, she stared at the locker and walked straight to it.

She cuoldn't see the locker door. It was in a classroom in Midwich. She went in the hallway and turned the corner to the other hallway. So there was a big distance and two walls between the Nurse and the lockers/gen.

It might have been a very lucky timing after her being paranoid like you said. It's either that or a cheat. I don't see any other explanation and we'll never know.
