Terror radius repeatedly looping in the third stage when nowhere near the killer.

I've played on PC since 2017.
I was playing against a Pyramid Head on Lery's and there's 4 stages of a terror radius that each loop indefinitely depending on how close you are to the killer. The third stage where the killer is right next you kept playing for me even though he was nowhere near me.
This only occoured today:

Did the killer have the perk Dark Devotion? When affected by Dark Devotion the obsession will constantly hear the third stage terror radius for the duration, as the killer's terror radius has been transported onto them.
