Trapper being the worst killer in DBD while being on the cover is telling a lot

I don't believe so. Because Legion is hard counterd by the survivor basics with no help in chase.

Survivor basics such as?
He gets everyone injured quickly then is an m1 killer when getting the second hit. He also has good map presence because he can literally run to gens which elevates him above more basic m1 killers like mike, clown and trickster (dont get me started on trickster).
Trapper is a little different because it depends on how well the team is coordinated. Trapper can lockdown an area, but good teams can easily counter that, where as with legion as the map gets smaller the survivors have a harder time staying uninjured and if youve been getting rid of pallets around your 3 gen thats a dangerous spot to be in no matter how coordinated you are.

I think any of the movement killers tend to already have an advantage, so you are right about Legion. However, Clown also can move across the map really quick with the buff he got and he has 2 different anti-looping abilities now.

Meh. Sure its better than before but still ass. Like with legion i can run across the map, fatigue, kick gen, by the time ive caught up ive got my power. This is without any add ons. Clown would be, throw bottle run, throw bottle run repeat till there, reload, kick gen, catch back up to survivor. Not sure what reload is compared to fatigue time i just know legions is certainly easier for the same effect. In terms of chase legion gets the first hit fast and easy, 2nd hit is harder but chase perks can help ESPECIALLY enduring, holy moly is that perk amazing on him

I mean, somebody has to be the weakest. And these three are generally considered to be among them. I heard Pig has the highest kill rate.... That doesn't make her inherently strong.

- If two gens pop by the time you reach tier 2 then I am sorry but that player is playing very badly. It should not take you more than 10 seconds to get tier 2 unless you are facing the most immersed survivors in the world. If you are then they are not sitting on gens because you would have already got your tier 2 off them.
- Small terror radius has plenty of gain. Especially if you have Monitor or dead rabbit on. Or both. People under estimate the value of a small terror radius. Its one of the reasons Tinkerer is so good. You get the drop on unsuspecting survivors. Remember how much complaining there was about Deathslinger having a small terror radius?
- True his power does run out. But if you have reached the point in the match where you have run out of stalk and still have survivors alive then you have been wasting your tier 3's. By that time you should have most survivors dead if you've been using them right.
- Sure on big open maps e.g. Blood Lodge. Even then you can catch them off guard in jungle gym gens, shack, etc. But then every killer has their bad maps. Mikey is no different there.
- I heavily disagree. For example I used to have infectious as part of my main build on him and won so many matches by snowballing with it in tier 3.
- That's why its about the timing of using it. You can spot the bad Myers players a mile away because they will pop it when a survivor clearly has the distance to get to a pallet or window. Never pop it unless you're sure you can get the down. Even then you can run perks on him to assist in dealing with loops. For example I run bamboozle on him and its fantastic. Especially combined with tier 3 vault speed. You practically fast vault windows.
- I agree about the add ons. But I am a red rank Myers main for the past 3 years. I think he is perfectly viable against decent survivors. Obviously he gets crushed against the cream of the crop survivors. But then unless you're Nurse or Spirit, so does everyone. Mikey needs some buffs no question. I even asked them in their Q&A last November if they were planning on it. The answer I got was they quoted their stats that Mikey has a very good kill rate (he's actually sandwiched in between Spirit and Oni), and that they get constant feedback about how much fun he is. Actually here it is. Got to 25 minutes and 40 seconds in;
Btw thank you for actually listing your reasons and having a meaningful discussion.

Survivor basics such as having ears and listening. If a Legion frenzies someone and you even hear the hint of a terror radius coming your way then you run in the opposite direction. By the time he gets even remotely close to you his frenzy runs out. Its the easiest and most effective counter to Legion.
Its only potatoes who see the Legion frenzy someone and actually stay in the area who let him get mass injury on everyone.

Want to bet thats not what he meant by "legion is hard countered by survibor basics."

I found the entitled Survivor main Again =D

Spread out to avoid snowball.
Don't dedicate to healing and fix gens
And most times unless there's add-ons you're not injuring the whole team.

That counters most killers 🤷♂️
Edited to add: and im still getting that first hit fast, if tgeres no one else nearby, im canceling FF and downing you. It still applies pressure
And theres always add ons 😈

But, it hurts Legion in particular. Since it can deny the whole purpose of his power to injure everyone and slowdown the game. And we have killers who can focus on these basics.

Hurts yes, but im still getting that first hit fast, if tgeres no one else nearby, im canceling FF and downing you. It still applies pressure. Quickly

Excuse me? Trapper killrates are very impressive. If you are not getting kills it means you are not playing him correctly.
Survivors have been nerfed tremendously since he was released and he has actually had several buffs.
The face of the game is not supposed to be a guaranteed 4K in every match, that is not balance at all.

Are we still pretending Trickster doesn't exists? Yes? Ok.

While I do disagree with Trapper being that strong and my overall distrust of kill rates. But, I have an idea I'd like you to hear. Trapper changes, because in my opinion he needs buffs since competent survivors can crush him
1.Brown Bag base kit
2.Starts with 2 traps
3.Remaining traps spawn in the middle
4.Base 7 traps regardless
5.Traps now have a set escape time 20 seconds with 15 from another survivor
(In short total removal of RNG from his kit)
6.Add-on rework from mentioned changes
While you definitely made the good point a Trap can shutdown a loop. These traps can simply be disarmed or even walked around in some instances. And it simply takes him too long to set up with two traps often on the other side of the map which killer is forced to hinder themselves to use their power that can be disarmed. But, that is what I believe. So, what do you think?

Oh Sluzzy...

Trapper is really a lot different from the other killers. Naturally you won't get 12 hooks against the best survivors because as you said a couple of gens are done after he has set his traps. How many times have you played against a trapper where everything goes south at the end? He simply shouldn't be balanced like Hillbilly for example, where you are instantly powerful. Starting with so many traps is an unfair advantage, he can too quickly set a part of the map as totally impassable and then down someone. Having that much power with so many gens still up is too much. I already find Trapper very oppressive, a good one that traps all the loops because it means there is no way to defend against being caught. You are caught as there is no way to loop.
They already buffed him so it is much harder to escape and I believe they darkened his trap a lot this last patch? Don't you think that is enough now?
Please not another Wraith! He requires a bag for a reason. Having 2-3 traps on hand with honing stone and iridescent traps would be so ridiculously OP.
I said this before, if you love using 2-3 traps, why not simply use the addon? They are in every bloodweb so you can actually use one every match if you wanted to. There is a common addon for being able to carry 2 traps.

3sec per attemp. The Maximum is 6 attempts mean 18sec (with Killer speed can make 80m which is accross the map). 20sec is so greedy.
I would put skill check so at least it depends on survivor skill than RNG

There are moments where Trapper does come very strong in the end but that's simply the nature of his power. Atrocious early game too atrocious sometimes for the endgame with . And actually it's also easier to escape his traps since you know you'll get out and it's still RNG which is too inconsistent. And I don't like the thought for a chance to actually play since base trapper is the worst in the game. You are forced to run an add-on and spend blood points unnecessarily. With my idea he'll have those two traps so he isn't forced to waste his traps. And he still has to get his traps but not to the point where he can't even use some. With the add-ons you mentioned they can be open to changes. That's why I mentioned an add-on rework for him.

Fair enough that could work

That is actually a very good idea! I sure liked it.

I have this days ago

I completely agree make him a mixed bag of traps. I don't care what, but more traps even if they are nothing more then a trip wire that gives u info

What's crazy is that even with some small changes he could become SO much better. I think that's why they might be so reluctant to buff him.
If Trapper gets too much he could turn out like Hag in terms of creating a web of pure hell for survivors to try and deal with.
That being said I'm here for Trapper buffs lol

the killers op, can be used by everyone. if you are a strong player, I assure you that the trapper is very strong .... if you are a poor player, use the nurse and the Spirit!

Hard the say he's worst, with his potential to end a difficult game within seconds. But, survivors gotta fall into this i suppose.
He needs more to his basekit big time. Dunno if even adding a few addons as base will be enough, he needs some secondary.
Throwing traps?

I didn't play trapper much. I got trapper challenges in current rift so I gave him a try. And I really enjoyed every single match.
STBFL and PGTW helped a lot. Without this perks I would probably lose.
My add-ons were Strong Coil Spring and Padded Jaws. Both brown. I never felt like I need to carry additional trap to win.
Padded Jaws is best add-on if you run STBFL. If you catch healthy survivor in bear trap you can farm 2 tokens.
For some reason red rank survivors feel over confident when they go against trapper, so they often tried to bully me. Which means they spend less time on gens and more on bodyblocks and altruism.
Best thing in trapper is he can force survivor to abandon loop by placing a trap. Or fake placing a trap. I really suck at loops as m1 killer against competent survivors. So trapper's power make me really happy.
Traps become little darker by default so survivors never notice it placed on dark surface.
I was surprised I did "catch 4 survivors" challenge on my first try without farming. I thought I will need several tries and I will be forced to farm it out. But most survivors are actually walking trap magnets. Just like me when I play as survivor against trapper.
