Anniversary cakes vs Blood Hunt

What do you think is better? I think Blood Hunt is better. For extra blood points, you just need to play.

In the case of cakes, you need to buy them from the Blood web. In this case, you will receive cakes in the inventory of the character being pumped. That is, you cannot receive additional blood points by playing for the character you want.

Bloodhunt, because you get extra BP and nothing say you can't use cakes offerings aswell :D

I like cakes more, because a bloodhunt only gives you 100% more bloodpoints while cakes can give you up to 525% more points depending on how many people use the offering

    Bloodhunts!

The last anniversary they seemed to nerf the cake rates in bloodwebs. I'd only get 1 cake for every 2 webs. At 50k BP for a web the cakes are just too rare....

The cakes are better. People do cake offerings nearly every game so you'll almost always get more BP from the cakes than you would from a blood hunt.. Unless they do a blood hunt during the anniversary event then you get the best of both worlds. I've played during all of the anniversary events and it's pretty rare that there aren't at least one or two cakes played. Most games everyone uses one.

EDIT: Also AFAIK the rate of getting cakes wasn't nerfed in the last event.. it's just that last event had 2 items you could get (flashlights and medkits) making it so if you were doing survivor bloodwebs you'd have a chance of getting those as well so that's a potential bloodweb slot taken up. This is why the rate of getting a cake on killer was much higher because there weren't any addons or anything to take up space on the bloodweb which made cakes the highest priority

Bloodhunts because you get the 2x bloodpoints every match during the event of one and can stack things such as cakes/streamers/etc on top of the bloodhunt.

I still remember the x3 blood hunt. What a nutty time

Exactly. Double blood points is cool but there is nothing like a 5 cake game with BBQ/WGLG as a topping. Nothing like 400-550k a game depending on how you do (survivor) or the killer you are and also how well you do I guess. Both are great (have only seen one BH in my time) but nothing is like cake time.

Bloodhunt is actually the worst option, I know thats what everyone dont want to hear, but listen...

The Devs have told us that when they run 2x Bloodhunt, Normal gameplay suffers, People are just farming instead of playing the game.

You need to stop asking for Bloodhunt and instead think of solutions that dont hinder the gameplay.

Just one person dropping a cake during a game makes what's worth of a bloodhunt for everyone in that game right?

Cakes by far. I am fully expecting 150,000 bloodpoints a match during the anniversary.

Last year I prestiged six characters during the event. I plan on accumulating a ton of these on my killers and a few favorite survivors to make sure I have tons for new chapters.

Way more excited during the anniversary than bloodhunts.

Cakes cz I play in a party of 3-4 and we all use them, which gives a greater BP multiplier than bloodhunt.

Also cakes last longer, I think last time I was using them for about 2-3 months after the anniversary itself.

How do you get 400-550k? It's awarded poat trial so with 32k max + 32k for BBQ and then another 160k for 5 cake offerings. Wouldn't your max be like 224k per perfect match more or less?

    Bloodhunts.

Contrary to what others are saying here, i can barely have 3 people use Cakes at once in my games.

Even if 2 at once is more than the Bloodhunt, the Bloodhunt is just a more reliable multiplier.

On which character i get Cakes is no issue to me, i just play 1 character anyway.

No I have scored well over 300k as a survivor so as killer you can do more. It's been a year so can't remember my exact scores but I know for a fact i got more than 224 plenty of times. Each killer is different and better than some in the BP department but have you ever scored a perfect 32k game and have more than 32k? Without BBQ I'm talking about as killers (just the way it looks to me) can earn more than 32k. The 32k is based off the 4 categories and hitting 8k in each but they still have other way to earn points besides those via there powers. The BP gains are weird but what category does precise nurse blink, blink hits, frenzy hits, bear traps/setting them, etc go in? I have notice that each killer is better in some categories than others. Some you can't get deviousness for #########, some brutality is better then hunter, etc. So maybe that where there powers are dispensed? Not sure all I know is if you get into a 5 cake game I remember getting more than 224k and I don't save BP so know I didn't have any saved. Could have also been high too it's possible since a year is a long time even though it fly's by.

yes I remember also having to run through a bunch of cakes on each character before I prestige. It's not a bad thing as you can use that BP after you prestige. I just don't like using the same killer for a week to burn them all up.

Maybe there was a blood hunt going on? 224k could become 450k with 5 cake offerings.

We'll see what happens but I'm pretty sure everything stacks post match

    You are correct.

You could get 40k-ish base points during some events with secondary objectives, but it still gives you ~250k/match at best with 5 bloody parties and fully stacked WGLF/BBQ

    chargernick85 Member Posts: 3,171

Yes either way it's good hopefully I am remembering it correctly/they do it the same. Cakes are also 105% so with 5 of them thats a whole 25% extra as well. Hopefully it's not too hard for survivors to get them this year I swear I heard there was just a toolbox this time if that's true should be easier to get this year for them.

I'll probably just play Doctor lol he's the easiest killer to farm BP. Distressing/BBQ/Starstruck/Corrupt will probably be my build. You will get game slowdown with Corrupt, BBQ stacks and will hit 8k in deviousness very quickly with Diatressing. You can take advantage of Distressing and pair it with Starstruck. You could do Thrilling Tremors before picking up downed survivor to get get people off gens and expose them.
