People who use M&A and STBFL on Deathslinger, kindly explain something:
You are already using perks (usually in combo with reload addons) that are giving you such faster attack speed and an advantage in term of sneaking up on people... So... WHY exactly do you camp, tunnel and slug, and barely USE the gun when you're in a chase?
Your perk/addon built is in crass contradiction to your playstyle.
Why?

M&A Deathslinger is by far my least favorite killer to play against in the game. Legit would rather play 5 stridor spirit matches in a row.

Many killers have lost their sense of how to be smart. That is why most of them do stupid things like this, they also don’t want to take the time of their day to improve so they start to tunnel and camp. (laziest strats ever)
6 -
Because they can, not much to it.

You’re talking about a game where I come across Plague’s running Sloppy Butcher, and Huntress using Insidious...

90% of the slingers you face aren't confident in their shots.
9% Of them try to be Confident and not to tunnel / camp...
and then the 1% that can shoot your ass through a smol crack, (Like me =D)
I usually Run Monitor Stbfl Pop and bbq for points, with that build i usually never struggle,
even with the sbm. giving me good survivors after like half an hour queue time...

Well plague still needs to down with an m1 so it helps with slug...
Yeah no nvm, not even i can defend that one

They probably see Builds like this when watching Streamers, but since they are not really good at playing Deathslinger, they dont play like said Streamers, but resort to camping and such things, while not being able to use the Speargun properly.

I have a better question, it's a legit tactic... so why do you care?
If it gets them the results they want, then it doesn't matter what you or anybody else thinks.
1 -
This post wasn't to criticise whether or not this is a legit tactic, it just feels... weird to see.
Like, the best answer I can find it that they saw the build recommended by someone, but without an explanation as to why it works.

Because of the massive discrimination this community has against anyone that plays Deathslinger, I assume.

Gotta get that haemorrhage tracking boys

he's basically a stealth killer so why not at that point.
but remember trickster was given a lullaby and deathslinger was not

Not every killer tunnels or camps. I use Deathslinger with M&A and sometimes STBFL and try and not tunnel/camp; plus I almost never use addons. I think your just annoyed that sometimes people play super try-hard. That goes for all Killers and all Survivors.

oh, this wasn't to say everyone does this. (heck, i'm a slinger main myself (if the game would decently work at least) using none of the above)
it just is very weird each time i see it, and it's not uncommon.
It's similar to trapper with a definite basement build who never goes near the basement

Because perks doesnt cover his main weakness that is low gen pressure? So against decent teams he has to slug/camp/tunnel at some point. Also why im i even answering, this is just another "i hate deathslinger" topic by the sound of it.

I'm a slinger main.
On that note: i found the best approach to decent teams is to keep them busy otherwise: sloppy + thana, spike and barbwire or thorns

I am a Deathslinger man, but I never camp or slug. There have been occasions where incidental tunnelling happens -- like when I happen to find the exact same Survivor over and over, but I don't deliberately go out of my way to tunnel.
I don't use STBFL because I still need to M1 to hit the Obsession and sometimes taking the stun to inflict Deep Wounds is a bit detrimental to my matches in some occasions, but I use M&A to attempt to do stealth approaches and, in some cases, do some jump-scares. I don't know he is just a fun Killer to me, but I recognise most of this community uses him in some... unfun ways.
I will be honest and admit that I'm in no way an incredible Deathslinger, I just play casually and enjoy what he offers for gameplay.

I don’t know about others but I love using my 4K machine deathslinger. Pulling people off gens or healing because they don’t know I’m near is so much fun. And when they’re up close the 1-2 combo M1 to M2 with STBFL is so funny.
To answer you question. Probably because they can. They bought the game to play how they want and use whatever perks they want. It doesn’t matter if you or anyone else likes or dislikes it. They are free to play and do what they want. Just like you are free to play and use what you want.

Damn... using strong perks on a Killer that helps him a lot with good add-ons? Wow, how dare you. All these killers using strong things on them shouldn't use powerfull perks and items like the other Survivors that run perks like Wake Up, Buckle Up, No exhaustion perks, No insta-shield med-kits, No BT's in front of the killer, etc.
And omg don't you dare try to camp someone, that's also againts rules too.

please read the post again.
This is about people who play in a way that gives them NO value out of the perks and addons.

Because the game freezes whenever I ADS
1 -
I mean they can still use some of these perks to their advantage even when playing in such way.
Also, it is no suprise people using perks in a bad way or with very little value.
I can remember I recently faced Nemesis with Tinkerer that only chased me for like 4 gens or something. What a value of a perk lol :D

I've been wondering if the reason might be 'hey, this build got recommended' without much explanation to what it does and how to run it best.
0 -
Yes or maybe they just skip the explaining part of "why you run these perks / how to play this build" and just equip it and go :D
0 -
and the result is chaos.
I'd really love for people recommending builds to give good explanations for them and not just go 'use this'

If people are camping with Deathslinger they're not playing him right, and can be easily punished. STBFL let's you hook trade better, encouraging camping, but if the obsession runs up, you waste your stacks. Those 2 perks, M&A and STBFL, are just really good on him. His terror radius becomes even smaller, and he can hit and then shoot to get a second hit in very quick succession. The reason you won't see some Deathslinger's use the gun that much is because you can get off crazy shots as Deathslinger but don't get anything from them, because survivors get caught on things and can't be reeled in. Deathslingers preferably want to hit you, then shoot you and reel you in, not shoot both times and risk making the chase way longer if they miss, which will happen a lot right now because of the freezes. Every time I go in to shoot it freezes.
