So you created a lots of nice skins, even changed up the mechanic how to get those skins (I like the new one btw), but then you cap players such that they are only able to purchase one outfit with the event currency and the other ones have to be purchased with real money.
Im kinda 
by that, the event will be like a few days of playing, then its over and back to normal playing with another theme in the background.

Doing optimally, this means you play 5 games on each side and you are done, I assume the event will be over even long before sunday^^2 -

But please remember: most killers can be unlocked with ingame currency. Same goes for survivors. Most of the skins can be unlocked with ingame currency. The devs need to eat too. They worked hard for this, and people complain that they only get 3 FREE pieces.

This doesn't feel like a cool, special event. They aren't even exclusive skins like the last couple of events were. Pretty lame.
Edit: the only cool thing about this event is spooky clickers and lunchboxes are coming back.1 -

I don't think it is a matter of getting all 7 for free it is more of the grind being over quickly and virtually the event for most people. How many bloodpoints do you need at this point if you have played this game long enough. If they doubled it and made it double the vials of 30 for killer and 30 for survivor with only being able to get 1 survivor outfit and 1 killer maybe it would have been received better.

Its just the way how they introduce those skins.
Everybody is hyped for a two week event and what we get is a 10 game event to farm a skin and a cashgrab for the other ones.Btw, I have spent ridiculous amounts of money on other games I liked, but in those games it never felt like a cashgrab.
BHVR still has so many problems in their game after such a long time and I see no intentions fixing them. At the moment I am holding back my wallet and look where we are going. Even if I would have no problems buying all the halloween skins if I really neded them (lul), I dont feel like supporting the current trends2 -

If this was a F2P game I would understand and be happy they let us get some cosmetics, most F2P games don't even give you that...but this is not a F2P game. I can see not getting them all but you know how events are after people get their stuff they stop burning offerings and don't care. How many bloodpoints do you need. I really thought with the event hooks being safe this would be fun but i really think within 3-4 days most people will be done with the grind. I'm also wondering how survivors act if the plants are gone and they can't get any juice if they dc.

Maybe but i wonder if we get more dc's during the event from survivors who can't get any juice from plants because they are gone and dc. Not the last event but the previous if no one burnt an offering from howling grounds you got an instant dc. Will we see that again? Some people will not play killer under any circumstance and it is a shame because you don't see both sides maybe we get more that give it a try for once.

That's right. Or they should just allow people to buy them by Iridescent Shards at least. I show enough support fot the devs by owning all the DLCs and buying all the new ones.

Even if the outfits were at the 21,000 shard level it would be ok. I will grind for The Wraith and probably buy the Doctor and Billy. I had hoped with the event hooks being safe the event would be a little less toxic but with the survivors fighting over plants and some not getting nectar this could be a ######### show before all is said and done.

Yes, queue time as killer will be extremely high. Every killer main who stopped playing, will just come back for those skins. Every survivor will want to play killer. I expect nothing less than 45+ minutes for a killer lobby.

Yeah if you burnt an offering for every plant drained you will get the blood point bonus but unless you drained filled up your vial you won't get it and they said not enough nectar for everyone. You have been around and seen people during events. This will be Hunger Games before all is said and done. Letting someone die on first hook because if dead more nectar for me, leading a killer to someone getting nectar for the same reason, dcing because you can't get any nectar because it is all gone, This is just a couple scenarios i can see. If i'm the solo survivor with 2 or 3 swf i'm leaving that lobby for sure.

DBD isn't Fortnite where you can buy skins but it works out because that game is free.

I´ve seen 45+ minute queues last october. Was survivor queue, but i still remember!
The only time survivor queues were that insane for me was during the killer strike^^
Was the release of David King with WGLF. Back then it gave a whooping 200% bloodpoint bonus. BBQ didn´t exist and every killer main switched to survivor.

Well Warframe I can unlock most things for free if I just grind the plat I use mostly for buying frames and slots. Buying them is optional

Yes, queue time as killer will be extremely high. Every killer main who stopped playing, will just come back for those skins. Every survivor will want to play killer. I expect nothing less than 45+ minutes for a killer lobby.
