Why is escaping required to keep the crown?
I don't understand why the crown requires survivors to escape the trial to keep them. This is beyond ridiculous. I have literally lost I don't know how many crowns since this event started because killers think its ok to rush down everyone KNOWING survivors are trying to get crowns before the event is over. This is not fun. This is not fair. I am seriously about to say to hell with this whole thing because I am very quickly losing interest in this event. Its my first year to be able to even get a crown too. I was very excited to have the chance to finally get one and now finding out they have escape conditions also just makes me not even want to bother.

It was discussed many times. They made it that way because survivors would ruin games otherwise. Lot of survivors would give up right after they find the crown to move on and ruin next game.
You have to play normally if you want to get the crown.

Sorry, its still not fair. Assuming every, most or even some survivors would do this does not justify having to make us escape the trial to get it. This is just giving toxic killers more reasons to be even more toxic towards us. Finding a crown the past several matches for me has done nothing but put a target on my head for the killers.
Oh and don't even get me started about "survivors ruining games." Killers already do a fine job in doing that. I can't tell you how many 4k 4-5 gen games I have had.

Well, then you played really bad. It is not killer's fault.
I can understand your struggle, if you play only soloQ, but it is not big deal, if you play with friends.
I don't understand where people find all those "toxic" killers. I think it is just POV and you don't understand killers, or you are toxic and that annoy killers, so they kill you.
Just play nice and try to donate item, if you want hatch.
As killer I usually let people with crown leave, even multiple survivors per game and I can tell same when I play survivors.
Just don't be toxic and neither will killers be.

I am never toxic to killers. I never give them any reason to do any of this to me. They do it because they can. It took me all day to get 3 crowns... cakes were played every match. It is not easy for survivors to escape with a crown right now unless you get a farming killer.
