crown 5th anniversary
Why does the survivor need to go through the gate / hatch to get the crown, and the killer doesn't need to make any effort? It is almost impossible to collect the crowns, since the escape is difficult.

Its to prevent survivors from just getting the crowns and then immediately trying to suicide on hook, thereby screwing over everyone else trying to play the game normally.

In past events survivors would stop trying, (kill themselves on 1st hook, etc) after fulfilling their event objective to move onto the next match. This of course negatively impacted other survivors and the killer.

Supposed to prevent survivors from suiciding on hook after getting crown... Except now survivors are suiciding/DCing if they don't think they'll be able to escape with crown so they leave match as quick as possible in hopes next match will be better.

Which was just silly since there's nothing preventing the killer from finding the crown and just not playing after that.

In that case, ez crown for all survivors in that match.

My point is it shouldn't be guaranteed just for launching the game on one side and have special requirements on the other. Especially when the justification is preventing games being ruined.

So it is impossible to get the crown now. I played 15 matches for 1 crown.

I understand and in the same boat. It's a shame that the actions of a few affect so many.

there is no point in fighting for the crown, as this fun event becomes as difficult as getting an adept
