Behaviour Account Cross Progression

So I own DBD on Steam right now and lets say I link my Steam account with Behaviour.

Then I want to play DBD on a different Steam account so I purchase DBD on a new Steam account and log in with my Behaviour account will all my progress from the first Steam account be saved? (DLCs and everything) or does this only work with totally different platforms?

Also heard that linking with a Behaviour account can mess up a lot of stuff is that true as of now?

    You can only link one account of one platform.

    and for me, linking my Steam account didn’t mess anything up and i only read about a few instances where it happened. But i don’t know if there are currently issues.
