Actually Killer users are decreasing because of survivor-sided way.

OP, are you sure your beef isn’t with SWF specifically? Solo que lobbies can be pretty chill at times.

I have a hypothesis that SWF (mostly 4 man squads) make balancing asymmetrical horror games very difficult. Information is key. Verbal communication trumps any perk the killer has (except NOED lol), and it’s like bringing 5+ extra perks. No need to waste a slot on Kindred. Unlike solo que where it feels like 75% of the time EVERYONE leaves their gen to go get the save, SWF’s have 1 go and the other two remain. No wasted slot on Kindred. If someone gets pushed off a gen and ends up in chase, he can let his buddies know- “hey, that gen in shack is 85% done.” Big advantage. There’s currently no perk for survivors to know a gen status from afar (unless kicked- Rookie Spirit)? And that was just added to the game.

All gens done & someone in chase? Call outs all over for which teammate is on what exit. Face camping killer? A plan is already in motion. Everyone knows what to do. They’ve done this plenty of times before. Unlike solo que, where kindred is active and the one guy who DOESN’T have borrowed runs in for the save, instead of waiting for approaching teammates to come and at least body block. It’s the little things that add up. Plenty more scenarios than the ones I mentioned occur, making the game not fun for killers.

Wild concept I know but, maybe, just maybe he just didn't have one on that killer.

Yeah no BHVR isn't responsible for players acting like children. For balance, content, and making sure the game doesn't explode every time you play it sure 100% their job.

But if a player disconnects every time something they don't like happens or intentionally tries to make people miserable that's not BHVR's fault that's the community being awful.

BHVR screws up their side of things pretty much on a daily basis I won't argue otherwise but so does the community and the lack of personal responsibility from the community on that aspect makes it all the more childish.

We love to complain but we refuse to acknowledge that some of the bad experiences with this game are of our own making.

The success of a video game is not dependent on players acting like adults. That is my point.

It is BHVR's job to make player maturity irrelevant with regards to how well a game is doing.

If the game is being "destroyed" because the community is problematic, then it is BHVR's responsibility to create a solution.

Its not the same at all. not even remotely. proxy camping only works if survivors are stupid and/ or dont have crutch perks meanwhile against 90% of the killer roster holding w is a guaranteed win. if a killer proxy camps and the survivors arent stupid the killer just threw the game for 1 kill

That’s the reaction you should expect when survivors have been getting camped and tunneled that whole event.

Historically, this whole thing ends up being a fruitless argument. So I'll just drop this here and then leave the thread.

In about 3.5 years of DBD, playing about 70% Survivor and 30% Killer, having been to red ranks on both sides(once on each side was enough for me. If I get to the point now where I'm about to pip to rank 4, I go play something else till the reset), I can make the following observations:

1)The vast majority of the 'dregs' of this game exist on both sides, and particularly from ranks 1-4.

2)At any rank, most of those 'dregs' seem to be PC players. At least, that is what I have observed post-crossplay, and from playing on PC as well over the past year or so.

3)When it comes to post-match salt and 'You need to play the way I say or uninstall' BS, Survivors win the Gold Medal. I have yet, in all of those 3.5 years of play, to be taunted or lambasted post-match by a Killer. Ever. I have, however, had them tell me 'GG' with some regularity. Survivors, on the other hand, it's about 50-60% of the time, and I've been called every racist, sexist, homophobic and xenophobic slur in the dictionary.

    My work here is done.
