Creative alternatives to the currently used skill checks

I feel like the skill checks need to be spiced up based on what you're doing, doing the same thing for gens, healing and hooks gets very repetitive. At the very least it would be nice for the game to give unique skill checks for killers with unique effects on survivors. Like for snapping out of doctors madness or getting a reverse bear trap unstuck.
