Do you want the old survivor animations back?

After looking at some older clips, it made me realise how much better the old animations fitted with the game (in my opinion) and overall just looked smoother, especially the healthy running animation. The old animations also allowed your character to respond much more to your inputs, for example you were able to move your head up and down whilst running, and crouching. And head movements were smooth unlike now - all choppy and robotic.

I would pick option 2 as I do think some of the new ones are an improvement such as the crawling on the ground and when you are picked up by a teammate, but in my opinion the old ones had much more character and were generally just much more fun playing with.

What do you think?

I've gotten mostly used to the new animations and think they're fine. But I'd like to see the things you mentioned brought back, like moving your head up and down whilst moving/crouching.

But mostly I want the smooth head bobbing back. Right now it feel like it's a low fps animation and it isn't smooth like it used to be, as silly as it sounds.

Where's the option for the smooth, quality Animations they originally released as an update, before survivors whined and complained so hard that they cut out 90% of the inbetween frames and went back to the horrible 2-sprite flip-flop effect they had before (and now have currently)

When the old animations were initially gotten rid of, I wasn't too pleased. However, the Devs made the newer animations more smooth and now, they've kind of grown on me. In fact, I honestly think the old animations were kinda bad. I've looked back at some old gameplay and the old injured animations in particular looked kind of ridiculous. I wouldn't be opposed to making the new animations a little more smooth but in my opinion, none of the old animations should return.

When 4.5.0 came out, I thought I'd never be able to play the game again.

When they fixed the horrible 4.5.0 movement, I still disliked it, but was at least relieved the worst of it was gone. I hoped I would get used to it eventually.

All these months later, I still miss the classic movement so much. I mean the current movement doesn't feel awful or anything, it just feels restrictive and weird to me. The old animations I also prefer, but maybe that's more out of nostalgia than anything else.

I would even pay money for a DLC that reverted the movement and animations back to what they were.

That's interesting, because I would say the complete opposite. My biggest complaint about current movement compared to classic movement is how the old movement was so much smoother feeling. I felt so much more free with classic movement, whereas now I feel kind of restricted. I also don't really like the animations, not that the old ones were at all realistic or anything, but these current ones look strange to me.

I do agree to an extent that the newer animations don't 'feel' as good. However, I still prefer the newer ones. They feel good enough and as I said previously, I wouldn't mind the Devs revisiting the animations to smoothen things out. They won't, but I wouldn't be opposed to it if they did. Provided that they don't bring the old animations back, that is. I honestly cringe a little whenever I'm reminded of what some of the old animations looked like, lol.

Fair enough, I can understand that. For me the main thing is the movement, the animations are less important for sure, and I think my desire to have them back is more based on nostalgia than anything else. I can get how some of them look a bit cringe XD

I liked the change where they made the turning speed more reasonable by adding turning animations. But because some babies started crying "mUh 360s" they were removed

The new ones are an absolute evolution compared to the old ones. However I would like for them to allow survivors to move their heads in more of the animations.

The new ones are way worse. I just think they're funnier.
