Presumably right now a LOT of people who might not normally play killer are playing killer as it is much easier to get cakes and earn BP for said cakes during a match as a killer than you are as a survivor

People are playing killer. Just gonna keep getting worse, people are sick of being camped and tunneled

More points. Once the event is over, expect the que return to normal. It's much easier to get points as a killer than as a survivor. as killer you can get nearly 200k blood points, so you cans see why more people are playing killer.

I was wondering the reason my Killer queue was so long. I guess I'll be patient, I want to collect crowns on all of the OG Killers now I've got them on the Survivors.

I've never seen as much tunnel as for now. You're a glowing Survivor? You're tunneled hard. It took me a dozen of matches for each Survivor to escape with a crown...

Now I play with a crown equiped, Killers ignore me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This will change soon enough when those player start playing after 5 or 6pm they will discover the joice of a swf then go back to survivor because its easier and more relaxed

It's definitely the points. The main reason that I play killer is to get faster BP to spend on the survivor side.

I'm almost done with all perks on one character, so that will be interesting. I might even settle on one build for more than a few games now that I have all the choices.

Currently, in one match as killer while playing so hopefully everyone gets a good amount of bloodpoints, with cakes and using as many perks and addons and offerings as I can to max bloodpoints, I can get WAY more than I can as survivor. Which is a problem. A survivor playing well should net about the same as a killer playing well. But it kinda feels like someone, somewhere said 'hey, there's four survivors so they should get proportionately less than the killer'... makes no sense to me. Sure, if you get killed early in the match it makes sense but it's just WAY easier, match-for-match, for a killer to gain BP over playing as survivor.

All the camp and tunnel posts ffs.

Killer queues are likely longer as they just released a new killer from a popular franchise, so we have new players playing killer, completionist players leveling the new killer and old players returning to try the new killer etc etc.

    Then add an event...

Folks are trying to get crowns for all toons.

During an event you can generally farm up more BP's on the killer side so many players switch to killer, even if they don't often play it, to get extra BP's and shorten the grind and unlock stuff on their less used role.

So more new players, more returning players, more player switching roles. probably to killer but that's an assumption.

Now if you have a large input of new players and players who religiously main survivor most of the time jumping on killers for BP's, tomes, crowns during the event, you would expect to see a spike in poorer play.

I'd say half the time if you are being camped by a killer or hard tunneled its because you are playing someone who typically doesn't play the killer role and is struggling to get any kind of value from their event BPs.

This isn't a killer community vs survivor community thing, in fact that kind of partisan thinking is BS, as only truly stupid people align themselves with one thing and then rigidly blame all else for the ills of the world.

There's more players from one source or another and more players means more bad players in general.

I would say given the human tendency to exaggerate, especially when making an argument tied to emotion, and that much of the player base has the emotional maturity of a 5 year old, that the reports of tunneling and camping are greatly exaggerated purely due to sore loser'ism.

I've encountered very little of it as survivor so far. Most of it was justified because I either...

    1. Ran the killer for half the match and when they finally got me they hung out to secure the one kill/get extra hooks from altruistic teams.
    2. I got downed again because some fool unhooked me in the face of the killer and then sprinted off.
    3. Got hooked in the endgame and well... again you might as well secure that kill, the gates are probably 99'd if not already open there is no value in leaving that hook. Not when it means survivors will come to you, probably fully healed so if you want that kill you better down the one just unhooked or you end up with 2x injured escapes over 1 kill, totally justifiable and to be expected.

It is pretty insane how much more BP you can get as killer vs as survivor. That definitely needs to be balanced out a bit. With BBQ an 3, 4 or even 5 cakes I was getting ~200K BP per match. Even with cakes you’ll be lucky to hit 100K as survivor unless you’re running WGLF and actively trying to get your stacks

    Wait a minute.

    More survivor mains play killers.

Tunneling has greatly increased, many claim.

    Hmmmmmmm.

Killer queues are just longer because they have a higher chance of getting cakes in the blood web. Since survivors can get event items instead of cakes.

The amount of teammates that disconnect because of ridiculous reasons also doesn't help.

    Anniversary Event

It will go back to normal after it's over

I avoid playing events now. They actively make the game worse to play.

Not like the cosmetic is worth the hassle either, never see anyone actually wearing them after the fact.
