Haddonfield is terrible, not just gameplay-wise either
Haddonfield is terrible gameplay-wise. It's been said a million times, but that's not what this thread is about.
What doesn't get talked about often is how bad Haddonfield is as a representation of the Halloween franchise.
Compare Haddonfield to Raccoon City, Midwich, or even Hawkins and The Game. The difference is staggering in how well the series is presented. It's basically just a generic suburbs map with almost zilch to do with the Halloween franchise. Even Springwood has better representation.
I'm seriously hoping that Haddonfield gets a major overhaul eventually and it gets completely redesigned both to make it more representative of Halloween, and to make it stand out more from Springwood, which re-uses two of the buildings from Haddonfield.

What would you change to make it represent the movie more? The point of haddonfield in the Halloween movies is that it’s a generic suburbs

More details and little references to the films. Like right now there's a jack-o-lantern on the Myers house porch and the Strode reality sign and that's about it. Take those away and suddenly the map has absolutley nothing to do with Halloween. Compare that to the level of detail and amount of easter eggs/references that Raccoon City, Hawkins, The Game, or Midwich got.
Also, make the buildings feel more "real", like how Thompson House went from a weird shack with crates to something that at least vaguely resembles a real house. Actually make the buildings interiors based off what was shown in the original film.

Yeah this is definitely something I've long thought, I hope that the graphical rework brings a whole new map because the small, blank houses are just... effortless. I really hope they bring in either new hints to the new movies or some nods at the original, because anything would spice it up at this point.

When they re-work it I would love to see more visual nods and easter eggs from the Halloween movies.
Have Mikey's car that he stole in the 1978 movie parked in the street;
The costume he wore as a kid when he murdered his sister in his house.;
Have one of the bedrooms in one of the houses have a dead body on a bed with Judith's tombstone at the head of it like in the original;
A dead body pinned to a wall with a knife;

To be fair the map was made in I think 2016, I.e very early in the game’s lifespan
i’m sure the devs want to make the map have more references and such, but they do still need to remodel, redesign and confirm with license holders that any changes they make are ok

They could have 3 or 4 houses closish and make them big like thompson house. Just needs to be less safe vaukts and no freakin hedges or fences. Then yeah, do the stuff you talked about. Could be dope

To be fair, the map was made in 2016, early on in the games lifespan, the devs have improved a lot at making maps look more like their source material since. So I'm sure whenever it gets a rework it'll look much better. I personally hope for more furnished and detailed houses, just like Thompson House.
