Vault of Death
Lately when I play survivor vaulting is suddenly becoming a hazard more and more. I'm not sure if it's just a manner of perception, but when I vault over a pallet and my character is completely on the other side the killer should not be able to hit me with a basic attack by any means.
I know hitboxes can be a bit wonky but come on. When I am fully over the pallet and I still get hit it is just ridiculous. A window vault make more sense because you can actually reach the survivor if the are close enough to it. Pallets have too much distance to allow it and I have been having the scenario happen to me notably more after the RE update.

That's just latency. On the killer's screen they probably hit you as you were dropping the pallet.

Oh yeah sometimes it feels impossible to play survivor because the killer hits you through everything, even 5 feet away from a window. I'm just really praying for the pallet hit rework to change this up a lot.

Server registration is suposedly live and started being in development a year ago

@Jerek today's PTB has a focus on that, we'll see

If lost count of the amount of times they states they were working on that issue

If it is like Hit Validation, I dont have high hopes. Like, currently you can be on the other side of the Pallet and already walking and you might get hit/grabbed.
And since they have to keep in mind that there are areas where not Dedicated Server is nearby (which means that the Killer will have high Ping, completely out of their Control), they will probably make the Pallet-thing as generous as the Hit Validation, so only the really huge Latency-issues will be filtered out.
They really need to show the Killers Ping in the Lobby, completely out of my mind why they are not doing that, given that this is the important information.

Except that the only way to make it look good for you would be to push the problem onto the killer instead, which given that it's part of the killers one and only job to hit you would make it considerably more unfair. It would be like sitting on a generator for 20 seconds only to have the generator teleported a few feet away and have all of that progress reverted.

Server hit validation =/= LAN connection. Desync due to players' ping and server tickrate is a natural feature of any game of the kind, including much "wealthier" franchises that can afford better servers.

Part of the issue that I see, is that survivors feel that when they start to drop the pallet - they shouldn't get hit. When in reality that pallet needs to be roughly 50% dropped before they're immune to a hit, that's also the time the stun occurs on the killer if they're in range.
With the introduction of the "Stun Validation" (hit validation has never applied to pallets), that's going to be tested in the PTB, that should solve the issues of being hit when you get the stun also - which is the really annoying one from a survivor perspective.
But, you are still going to be hit if you greed a pallet too much and don't allow enough time for the stun to go through as just starting to drop the pallet is too late.
