Exhaustion status for entire match

I was doing a stun the killer challenge and brought head on. However, after using it once and getting unhooked in basement, I was exhausted for the entire remainder of the game. I walked, stood still, etc and the symbol just stayed in my screen, paused at the end of the timer. I got adrenaline and it worked as it ignores that status, and I thought it would fix it, but after that I got the timer again and it still did not leave. This only happened once so far but I’m worried about it happening again.
