PC - Game Crash Mid-Match Before Endgame Collapse
What Happened:
Step 1 : Boot the game, queue into my first game of the day. I have recently restarted my computer and applied all relevant updates to my Windows environment.
Step 2 : Play as Trapper in a public match against 4 console survivors. Nothing is unusual about the game or players but two odd things occur several minutes before the game crashes. I notice that one of the traps I have set next to a wall cannot be picked up unless I step into it. It is also not visible, and it appears to have glitched into the ground. Later, I notice one of the survivors try to use dead hard (I cannot recall which one); the animation does not look right and they do not move out of range of my lunge. They should have gotten an immunity frame at the very least but this does not happen.
Step 3 : Later, after finishing my second kill, I walk around until I find the Meng survivor trying to work on one of the generators. They run away and I take chase; moments later, Meg completes the last generator and both survivors start moving towards the gates. I am able to injure both while running around one of the jungle gyms outside of the house but far away from the doors and my available traps. I start focusing on the Meg who tries to evade me around a bush. I move into position to secure a lunge, but suddenly the game screen disappears and I am staring at my desktop.
Step 4 : No error codes. When I log in, my offerings have been consumed and I have not been awarded any bloodpoints.
