Is modding dbd Bannable?
So I've wanted to use certain mods on dbd, but I'm afraid of getting banned for using them. These mods consist of the old movement mod and a cool outfit mod, would these get my account banned as I know of lots of others who use them and haven't been banned yet?

Suppose I'll have to repost this...
I've been using mods for the past 3 months and I haven't gotten banned for it. There's no guarantees you'll be fine, but as far as I'm concerned, no one's been banned for using mods. While BHVR doesn't mind it at the moment, EAC can detect modified game files. But I'm fine atm.

The answer is yes, you could get banned for mods because the moderators in the game and the forums doesn’t tolerate that especially the staff of behavior when it comes to online things like modding which is considered exploiting, and ruining the game files.

BHVR works towards removing glitched cosmetics.. meanwhile people are building YouTube/Twitch fanbases by showcasing modded cosmetics, props, items etc.
I don’t blame them because having that kind of creative freedom is a blast.
Problem is that it’s entirely free to alter the game to your liking while people that are willingly purchasing things like cosmetics legitimately aren’t able to mix and match as they please.
If I were to make my survivor looks like Joel from the Last of Us or my Clown look like John Leguizamo from Spawn or something then there would never be any reason to support BHVR with a single dime yet I haven’t heard about any ‘meaningful’ warnings or a statement that they will be ACTIVELY detecting and banning anyone modding the game in any way, including custom icons/character pics.

That's interesting. I wouldve presumed it wouldve been bannable as it could give you a competitive advantage (that's if you customize your opponents one ig)

Given that EAC is pretty much completly useless in every game that uses due to a recently discovered general exploit, there really isn't anything that's bannable outside of a manual ban issued by the devs
