I don't want to see another thread complaining about slowdown Blight builds
3 back to back SWF matches filled with nothing but meta perks from the survivors. The first was a wannabe bully squad that thankfully were terrible at looping, their communication being the thing carrying them to a tie. The second was just your average just playing group that happened to be skilled. The third, like the first, had a map offering, with 3 brand new parts (somehow this ended in a draw like the rest).
You guys do it as well. I didn't pay any attention to the people saying that the survivors were sweating massively. Boy are they right. I was running an off-meta build. The meta build is staying on for the rest of the event.

Since you edited your post, I had to edit mine.

Oh you poor thing. That's not the tryhard build. That used to be the tryhard build. The current tryhard build is Corrupt, Ruin, Pop, and some other 4th perk (BBQ because even bloodpoints).

Are you seriously complaining about draw trials? Is that really the level of entitlement that has been reached?
26 -
I do not like pop with Ruin because kicking the gen is too difficult unless they were JUST on it. I kind of run Ruin specifically so I don't have to kick gens anyway.
0 -
So, against 3 coordinated swfs the trial ended with a draw while you were playing normal builds, and you're crying?
7 -
The point of a build like that is to have something for late game when ruin is gone. If ruin stays up all game with a mobile killer you should have no issues. Usually good teams will get rid of ruin with 2 or 3 gens left to make the late game easier, that is where pop comes in.
2 -
Tinkerer is good for this as well.

Generally the people complaining about killers using strong perks are just people who want easy games where they 4 man escape.
1 -
Wow I've never seen a blight run tinkerer before! So original
4 -
Lol definitely. Probably as rare as a Bubba with BBQ or a Nurse with Nurse's calling.
1 -
not the killer mains crying on here bc they ended 3 matches in a draw when they were running non meta perks… please go outside
do you want all survivors to run ace in the hole, slippery meat, technician, and urban evasion or something?? survivors will run BT, DS, iron will, DH for all the same reasons killers run pop, ruin, corrupt, and bbq… because if they have it they will use it to make things easier for themselves
do you want the game to give you a pat on ur back for running non meta perks or something😭

Ruin, Pop, Tinkerer, BBQ + Alchemist Ring + Blighted Crow for me is the nuclear Blight option. Reserved exclusively for dealing with the sweatiest groups. Oh don't forget you have to slug at 5 gens, put your hooked survivors close to the area you patrol and if they show you they don't have DS, tunnel them into oblivion.
I remember I dealt with a group of 3 who took 2 red keys and a hatch offering. They got one gen done all game, because I played with this build and playstyle I described. Most of the time they were scrambling trying to pick each other up.
Currently tho, I'm using BBQ, Tinkerer, Enduring and Agitation, and slug for pressure as soon as possible. I've come to realize that dealing with most teams unless they're seriously weak, is about being as ruthless as you can at the start and then winding down once you've secured your victory. Also slugging is a surefire way to get people off gens and bring them into the area you're controlling so you can start doing damage.

Never run your builds based on the tears you read on the forums, survivors like to preach "off meta builds" and what a snow flake they are for never running meta perks ignoring to mention the 3 other players in the game will be running meta, there's only one of you so what you bring counts, they have room to be a snow flake, you don't.

Watch me. You're complaining you drew, meaning something was balanced, and you weren't even using the meta.
I'd tell you to quit while you were ahead, but you tripped half a mile ago.

Imagine having a mentality that drawing should be your goal in a video game
0 -
Killers are sweating too yknow, its not a one side thing.
1 -
It's the goal of the devs for balance bestie so if you're getting more it's technically unbalanced :)
2 -
Oh I had no idea every time I killed all the survivors or all the survivors escaped, it's was just unbalance, that makes so much sense now
0 -
There is nothing wrong with a draw but what IS wrong is the rampant perk shaming on both sides.
If I want to use BBQ, tinkerer, pgtw, corrupt on my blight I shouldn't be shamed for that
Same scenario if I use iron will, bt, ub, ds on my survivor. I am just playing the game
Use slowdowns? Baby killer!
Use a full stealth build as survivor? Useless baby survivor!
Use a full meta build on either side? Stop relying on these crutch perks!
It's insane and I hate it
3 -
According to what the devs are attempting to balance by yep its bevause its unbalanced so complaining about only getting a 2k is kiiiiiiiiinda weird
Edit: even weirder when you complain about getting a 2k when you're using an off meta build vs meta builds
2 -
It's insane how either side can call out anyone for using tools the game provides

Yes hopefully the mega nurse buff comes soon to help her horrifically under performing statistics
0 -
Just run my build 4head =D
Nurses Bbq Pop Shadowborn on Blight, =D
Haven't lost a single game with this actually...might've already beat the 50 win streak before otz actually lol
0 -
Yeah sure, actually. In fact full kit rework to make her much more accessible to new players while they're at it
0 -
when killers say meta perks I laugh like say surviour have a full asrnal of perks to choose from majority of them are trash… out of 6 pages of perks about 6 individual perks are worth running
0 -
And that kids, is what we call a meta.
0 -
Why should nurse be buffed? In fact, looking at statistics (since it's your argument), she is perfectly fine with her 50% kill rate. Actually, all killers should be nerfed to reach her same stats, because they're clearly over performing.
2 -
Perks are there to be used. It's not your job to satisfy anyone with a non meta build.
0 -
Killer mains calling 2k a loss,3k is balanced for them.
2 -
"winding down once you've secured your victory"
so much fun when the killer plays like a dick against a random solo squad but then suddenly shifts the pace after tunneling out 1 or 2 persons. Just end it quick instead of dragging out a needless game for everyone to the max. Survivors know when the game is over for them, most just stop doing gens and start looking for keys or hatch, so most of those games are extremely boring, especially if the killers suddenly plays slowly. But hey, as long as the killer feels good about himself everything is alright i guess.
There really was a change in power dynamics over the last year, killers have the upper hand now against most of the usual survivor teams, but they still act like they're getting bullied every game and need to do this and that, because 1 out of 10 games they don't 4k.
2 -
You would think the Devs would get the hint when the meta killer build is ALL gen slowdown that maybe there is a problem with how fast they can be finished in an average match. Hmmmm

You would think the Devs would get the hint when the meta killer build is ALL gen slow down that they can be finished way to quickly in the average match.

No. The point is that I faced non-stop meta builds, SWFs trying to cheese matches to their favor with map offerings, and people actively trying to make my experience worse. The META killer build is balanced in the greater scheme of things, which is not in dispute. Survivors don't find it fun. Well, I wasn't exactly having fun with their perks, map offerings, and add-ons now was I? The mentioning of the kills is more so "how do you screw up with odds so heavily in your favor" rather than "2ks are unacceptable." The overall point is, I can always go easier if it's a chill match, but if survivors are attempting to bring their A-game in a bloodpoint centric event, I guess I will too. Shame build diversity has to go out the window if these types of games are this common right now.

Here's the thing. Ruin Undying is ultimately a pub-stomper loadout now. The good survivors will find totems quickly regardless. I've had quite a few matches where both totems were gone in the first minute, so you really don't have a choice in the matter as ruin's going quickly regardless. So it's best to use corrupt ruin for early game coverage, and pop for mid-late game. 4th is typically an information perk, one of the most powerful being Tinkerer, though it's not a hard requirement.

You got ties against 3 SWFs and one with 3 Brand New Parts??? Are you seriously complaining??? You must be one of the most entitled killers on this board.
1 -
This isn't a great retort. This is like if I said "huh, you're a solo survivor that had a 2 man escape on slowdown stridor Spirit with mother Daughter ring and you're complaining. Gosh what an entitled survivor." The issue isn't the result. It's how stacked the matches are.
0 -
I'm sorry, but it's impossible to tell if survivors are going to be efficient and take a mile as soon as you give them an inch or if they're going to be chill. Getting pressure at the starts allows the killer to guarantee the game is not going to last 4 minutes. There's no way for the killer to tell they're going against chill solo teams or more coordinated better teams until it's too late. It's the killers choice whether they wanna start chill and wind up when things get tense or if they wanna start rough to prevent the game from going crazy at first.
Also, trying to get pressure by slugging and controlling an area, forcing survivors to come to you is not "playing like a dick", just like survivors bodyblocking, saboing, flashlight saving, and doing gens as quickly as possible is not them playing like dicks either. They're trying to win and playing effectively.
Also, "ruthless as you can at the start and then winding down once you've secured your victory" doesn't even necessarily mean "tunnel someone out of the game instantly". It means you take every possible chance to punish mistakes as you're gauging the team and the gens. You can totally wind down without getting a single kill because you've "secured your victory" by seeing that the team cannot compete against you.
I've done this before, where I do some stuff to get pressure, see how the team deals with it, see they can't chase, and their efficiency is poor, then I just start giving everyone chases, I let them reset etc and they all have a decent game.
