Tunneling is getting out of hand.
I don't understand how survivors can play like this. They do the first 3rd of a gen and then they just keep working on that gen until it's done. Can you believe that?!
They just find that one gen they want to work on at the start of the game and keep on it till it's done. If I find them and try to push them onto another gen, almost every time they'll go back and start tunneling the same gen they started on. Is that even fun for them? Just working on the same gen the entire game?
Personally I think they're just bad survivors that can't win a game unless they tunnel the gens out. I bet they couldn't even get to red ranks if they weren't tunneling gens. I bet if they tried to play *one game* where they do a 1/3rd of a gen and then go looking for a different gen to do somewhere else like good survivors they'd go right back to rank 15.
And don't even get me started on camping.

This, this is good stuff, I like this.

Oh em gee! I hate it when survivors camp me with flashlights or tool boxes to deny me my hooks. Something needs to be done about it, a major nerf needs to be incoming! Their actions prevent me from acquiring bloodpoints after a long and arduous chase.

There is also nothing called tunneling Survivors. That's the point.
Survivors whine that Killers do their goal, and call it 'tunneling' because they don't want to lose.

You shouldn't be "pushing them off" gens, you should be downing them and hooking them, making the rest of their team get off gens to help unhook.

It's ok
9 -
Yeah you can't even save that poor gen with perks like pgtw or ruin because if survivors want to tunnel the gen then they will at the expense of the killer's fun

No, tunneling is a made up label Survivors apply to make it sound like they are being bullied, in an attempt to force the devs to handicap Killers.
I get accused of tunneling every other match, and I certainly am not trying to ruin anyone's fun, so your little definition falls apart right there. The whole point of the joke was to apply the whinging Survivors do to the Killer point of view, to show how stupid it is.

To be fair you could make the same argument about gen rushing.
Killers whine that survivors do their goal and call it "gen rushing" because they don't want to lose.

It’s only not considered tunneling if after the survivor is unhooked, they must be allowed to fully heal and not be hit or downed again until all three other survivors have been hooked once. You are not allowed to hit or hook survivors unevenly. Anything else is tunneling and is super toxic

Here we go. Someone else with telepathic abilities. The amount of psychic people on this forum is scary I tell ya.

What makes you think it's not made up?

Don't hit em with the facts, they can't handle it.

Oh, look! Another killer main looking for validation with totally fresh and original content that hasn't been done a million times before. What a surprise.
3 -
Also if I may add I would politely ask killer mains to stop hook rushing because it's not fair to do your objective so fast thank you

Alright tunelling doesn't exist gen rushing doesn't exist yet those two are most complained and discussed subjects wow what a shame they've been fighting about non existing things

Exactly.
'Genrushing' = Survivors doing their job as quickly as possible. This should not be a Surprise to Killers.
'Tunneling' = Killing efficiently. It takes 1 hit to down a wounded Survivor instead of 2 for a Healthy. This is the best way to cut down on Survivors doing gens. This should not be a surprise to Survivors.
Do I think gen speeds cannot be altered? No. I am well aware that I (and I can't read minds, so I can't speak for other Killers) would tunnel less if I did not feel a time crunch from the word 'Go'. Left alone, Survivors can do gens in around 5-6 minutes. Whereas a Killer needs at least double that time to 12 hook.
So I think gen speeds go too fast. But I don't think it's 'genrush'. Survivors could need 10 minutes to do gens, and they would still 'genrush' if they did them as quickly as possible, according to the definition of the term.
Therefore; 'genrush' is another made up label for 'The opposing team is trying to quickly win'. Just like 'tunneling'.
I'm no hypocrite; I firmly believe both 'genrush' and 'tunneling' are just BS invented to complain that someone is losing. 😁

this is a survival elimination game technically if you are downed then you're dead unless you have unbreakable or someone picks you up

It's been my experience that the Sweat Squads who do the gen rush thing really play the game on a tight script. If you can somehow force them off the script, whether that's via staying on the gens like white on rice, knowing which gens to concede and which three to make your 'last stand', or clever perk builds, etc, then they tend to get lost, at least for a while, and you might even have a shot at foiling them.

Jokes(Like this one) are meant to be funny...Just not to the people who are the butt of the joke!
1 -
You make it sound a whole lot easier than it is.
3 -
That's fair enough, just pointed out those two are most controversial subjects in dbd for years now which is pretty annoying since neither of those things are such a big problem

I laughed tbh because I thought this was another thread of survivors complaining when a killer does their job well, i was surprised to see the twist to make it about genrushing. It points out the hypocrisy in survivor mains who complain about tunnelling when 3 gens are done by the first hook and also wonder why killers run unfun perks like ruin undying etc.
That was the point of the joke.

Getting 1 generator out of the game just means that there are 4 more generators that need to be done. But getting 1 survivor out of the game is a guaranteed win, unless you're entirely incompetent.
What's more is that the whole point of the activity is to prevent the survivor an opportunity to hide or run away. Tunneling off of hook is a low effort, low skill strategy that then puts survivors into a no win situation. What's more is that you already understand this and that's exactly why you're trying to defend it. And what's more with the recent changes to Decisive Strike, you are no longer penalized for playing in this way. You can make light of the situation, but to me, there's nothing impressive about winning by getting someone out of the match ASAP. It's literally one step above basement camping Bubba.
