Dr. Build Yay or Nay
Hey all sorry if this is in the wrong spot but here is my idea for the Doc.....
I just started playing last week and I don't have many killers yet but this is my idea and didn't know if anyone tried this combo yet

I personally would switch for iron grasp for unnerving presence.
Making it harder to do skill checks, especially if lullaby is still in play
1 -
its crap
2 -
Nay,
Add ons: Discipline and either Electrode or Order
Perks: Discordance,Sloppy,Ruin and PGTW or Undying..

Who gives Unerving Presence.....Iron Grasp is just a throw in because I don't have too many perks unlocked yet.
0 -
I was thinking of PGTW once I unlock it but this build I was thinking of a doing a skill check difficulty based one....

Hm maybe this buid work until the end of yellow or start off the green ranks:
Overcharge, is usless then, Iron Grasp (i was never an fan of this perk), BBQ its ok for BP and Lullaby... Hex(without Undying) on the most maps are not usefull.
My Docbuild at the moment (just for fun)
Perks:
Pop, Whispers, Monitor & Abuse and the last one is Lightborn (if i have more as one FL), BBQ or Sloppy
AddOns:
King & Queen, the Cater's Notes or a mix with Queen.
But like i said its a "Fun Build" ;)

Unnerving Presence is a trapper perk.

How very encouraging of you...

Your build is ok. Sometimes it will win you games and sometimes it will do nothing. Just play with it and adjust it when you have more perks.
When you have all perks i recommend: Corrupt (Plague), PGTW (Clown), STBFL (Myers), Thrilling (Ghostface) or BBQ.
Doctor was the third killer i played (i wanted monitor & abuse) and i reached rank 5 with him without many perks. So just have fun.

Yea I do have fun. I have been utterly trounced by the survivors and got 0 hooks but it's the chase and challenge they give me only makes me better and where I have fun.
My main is good ole Pyramid Head.....

Sry but I just tell it at a very objective way, decent survivors will maybe miss just 1 or 2 skill checks in this entire game, its not that hard to cleanse lullaby and also the addon choice is just not good.

I just gave you an advice nothing more.
Beside I can't know what perks you got as you didn't mentioned that.
The reason for me behind unnerving presence is that the skill check zones are decreased by 60% and increases the odd by 10% for a skill check.
And as you got Huntress lullaby, skill checks get very difficult when they are inside your TR.
Edit: sorry i miss interpretate your post and didn't realize it was a question.
But trapper gives unnerving presence, don't know exactly at what level tho

I would replace Huntress Lullaby and Overcharge with Ruin + Undying. Also Iron Grasp is really bad.

Change Overcharge and Iron Grasp to Unnerving Presence and Distressing, and change Restraint to Calm, and you've got it.
0 -
2 calm add ons and a map offering like Hawkins would be perfect with that build.
0 -
I would do Undying but don't have Mr Pinball yet and I haven't seen it in the Shrine yet lol
0 -
It was literally in the shrine for the first (and probably last) time 3 days ago.
There's currently an event on where the shrine changes every day. You really should be keeping an eye on it if there's perks you want from there.

If you have the perks my go to Doc build is Iron Maiden, Whispers, Pop, and BBQ with Calm and Restraint add-ons. Basically no hiding from my Doc unless they're running Calm Spirit, and even then Whispers and BBQ will give em away. Pop is my go to regression perk but on killers without mobility in their power I feel Surge could actually be more useful for me.

I was also looking at Star Struck as well.....but not with this set up....I went up against 3 Docs with it yesterday and it was a very scary thing......

If you are new and don't have many teachables unlocked, sloppy butcher and whispers are very viable on doctor and available from the start. Overcharge is OK if you have nothing else but you should try to get hex ruin (from the hag) or pop goes the weasel (from the clown). Corrupt intervention (from the plague) and hex undying (from the blight) are also worth getting
1 -
Unfortunately I work during the week so I cant play everyday to get the shards to buy them from the Shrine lol
0 -
Yea I think that's what I might do is focus on leveling up all the killers and survivors first to get their teachables unlocked then work on prestige so I can get the better addons
0 -
Woah, I remember when I barely had perks and did builds of this style, especially when my rank was low and I played against survivors who also had low rank.
Basically this build in high ranks is useless, but in mid-low ranks it's a lot of fun, hearing all the time notifications of survivors failing skillchecks xD.
0 -
God, don't do that dude. The increase in addon quality is beyond tiny, prestige is not the way to go. Ever.
Instead, level up Killers with useful perks, Otz's channel on youtube will give you all the information you need, and then teach those perks to all your other killers. Otherwise you'll end up with 6 full pages of perks and you'll be wasting millions of bloodpoints to find BBQ or Hex: ruin.
0 -
Yea I'm right now rank 15 so I'm in the mid rank zone.
0 -
Dam but what if I want the Bloody cosmetics lol.
0 -
Then that's a different scenario! Just keep in mind it'll take hundreds of hours.
0 -
Assuming you have the above perks I'd keep bbq. I'd drop the rest. Whispers and Distressing would be good assuming your selection is limited. Don't bother with the Mori. As for addons, just experiment to find what you like.

As a Doctor main who started playing last year ill give my 2 cents! Also welcome!
General: Doctor is one of the killers who can be really flexible with his build. Impossible skill checks, Gen Lock Out, Aggressive chases, etc.
Your build is mixing a few different builds. Hex: Huntresd Lullaby/Overcharge is good for impossible skill checks, but Iron Grasp is out of place.
Impossible Skill Check: Hex: Huntress Lullaby, Overcharge, Oppression, PGTW, Dragon's Grip. I gave you a few options since you are new. You can get a lot of value from these perks. PGTW + Overcharge + Oppression will do 25% immediate regression, slap on a tremendously difficult skill check for next user and cause 2 other gens to start regressing. If you want to run Dragon's Grip over Huntress you will mess them up. If they touch a gen you just kicked, they scream and get exposed for 60s. I suggest DG since higher ranked survivors are used to hitting the hard skill checks with DS.
Btw my current build is Whispers/BBQ/Surge/Corrupt Intervention. Whispers is great on Doctor since it almost guarantees no wasted Static Blast which is one of his best powers imo. With a crazy long cooldown of 60s you can only get 10 per match sometimes.
I have other good build ideas. Lmk and I'd be happybto share them.

Yes but most Docs play it wrong. They pair it with Distressing and double calm add ons to get a huge TR. But Doctor isn't mobile enough to make use of it. Nurse/Spirit/Blight could be great with it. For Doctor it just discourages bodyblocking and hook bombing.

Hey thanks for the advice. My main is my buddy from Silent Hill, but that's because he is and always will be my favorite monster/imposing force of any game.....but I am loving Doc way more than I thought I would.....ATM my go to killers are PH.....Doc......Huntress......
1 -
Yeah I know. Doctor just seems so happy all the time lol he was my 3rd killer but my main 100%. I also enjoy Demo and Myers.

A range addon and detonation delay addon would be better i think
Swap iron grasp for something a bit better maybe
