Why do people say Dead Hard is difficult to play against?

I mean this is Dead By Daylight there's a 50/50 chance they are gonna run into a sticky obstacles and waste their window of speed. I think the real reason people don't like is is the characters look like smug pricks when using it. Admit it, the little naruto dash run tickles the part of your brain that desires retribution against the cocky and insolent. That's the true reason no one likes playing against people with the perk. If the animation looked less smug I gurantee you no one would be as against it. I know your inner thoughts guys you can't hide the truth from me.

Survivors should just teleport a few feet in front of them. I wanna play against nurse every game.

I do not believe they mean to say it is hard to play against so much as they are salty that a free hit became an extended chase.

I mean, it's not hard to play against. You just... You just sort of stand there while the survivor does thier thing. Maybe you walk at them a little. I don't think I've ever managed to fail to do that, but maybe that's just my immense natural skill shining through.

I don't think people complain because it is hard to play against but rather frustrating caused by the on demand nature of the perk.

Dead hard is the only on demand exhaustion perks. Balanced landing needs a drop, lithe a vault und Sprintbürste to not run until activation. The first two need the survivor to plan ahead with their patching to get the speed boost and sprint burst is either activated immediately or the survivor has to 99 their exhaustion and be able to keep it that way until the burst is needed which also takes skill and concentration. Dead hard (for distance) on the other hand is similar to death slingers instant shot, always available and right in the face of the opposition.

Of course the "dodging a hit" aspect takes skill in form of timing but gets more than enough screwed by latency. And before anybody comes again with "sprint burst has a longer speed buff", like i said in most cases sb has to be either hold for on demand or used instantly for full effect.

Now a killer can instantly decide to drop the chase and.let the survivor "waste" the sb (they still got away but the killer didn't waste much time). With dead hard the killer has to first invest time for a chase for the first injure Hit and then a second chase for the down. Some penguin mentioned that the killer could also simply brake off the chase after the survivor successfully used dead hard for distance but that means that something close to a minute was wasted to get the survivor just injured against no time wasted by making them sb away.

I don't care either way but this is my take on why people don't like dead hard so much and why it is the most run exhaustion perk overall.
