new player.... at end of season when its time for everything to reset should i prestige will carry?

im new and i keep asking and looking for this answer... i shouldve already went back to 1 but on 12th should i prestige or will that stay and my stuff is it just the player levels not the character levels. since my level didnt go back to 20 no one seems to know if my level 50 character will lose everything and ability to prestige...

    End of season only resets you rank. Your character progress is never lost or altered.
