Flashbang not working on stairs

So i noticed this on a recent match where i did a basement save, and i tried to use the FB on the stairs since the killer was on his way down, in an attempt to blind him and get out safely, but, i didnt work. since i still had the item despite using the button to throw it, regardless the animation still played since the killer attempted to look away, but the item was still on my hand without being used.
I even tried to do it multiple times and it was the same, i do the throwing animation but dont actually use the item, making it unusable on stairs, since they work the same way i suppose its the same for the Firecrackers item.
This should really be fixed.
