How would you rework: Freddy (episode 5)

Title.

here’s how I would rework him: mix the old with the new.

  • Freddy can’t be seen by survivors when they are awake.
  • freddy can pull survivors into the dream world after 10 seconds & has a range of 10m.
  • once outside his terror radius in the dream world he can see survivor’s aura for 3 seconds. (object of obsession would be handy here.)
  • action penalty-25% in the dream world.
  • survivors have access to the dream clocks( same as before.)
  • the nightmare can’t drag survivors into the dream world for 30s after waking up. (With the Freddy nerf like how you hit them & they’re not on the dream world.)
  • the nightmare can teleport to any gen on the map.
  • the nightmare has access to dream Snares or dream pallets. 5 snares & 7 dream pallets respectively.

you guys go crazy reworking the addons. Do you think Freddy should stay the Same as is or how would you rework him. I would like to see your ideas are.

    I actually have a concept:

Pull survivors into the Dream World

-Survivors who are awake do not see The Nightmare.

-Once targeted by The Nightmare’s power, survivors enter the Dream Transition for 7 seconds.

-The Nightmare’s Movement Speed Penalty for putting a survivor into the Dream Transition lasts for 1 second.

-During the Dream Transition Survivors can see The Nightmare intermittently and they suffer from the Incapacitated status effect.

-When the Dream Transition Lapse, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.

    Once in the Dream World:

-Survivor’s auras are revealed to The Nightmare when they are outside of his terror radius.

-Survivors suffer an action speed penalty of 40%.

-To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find non-sleeping Survivors to perform a wake up action.

-Failed Generator Skill Checks can also wake up.

    -Hooked Survivors wake up.

    Special Ability: Dream Projection

-Teleport to a Generator in view. Releasing the button early will cancel the action.

-Survivors cannot interact with the targeted Generator.

-For each Survivor in the Dream World, the cool-down of using Dream Projection is reduced by stack-able 20%.

Hang on a second! That's just old Freddy with teleportation abilities!

    You sly dog you.

Though I'd rather see that over the snares and pallets of today. Old Freddy was heaps of fun.

Ah, my friend, a perfect power does not require many changes. All I did was giving him the Dream Projection and the Incapacitated status effect.

Truth be told, he could return the exact same way he was on release and it would've been good enough for me, but after some talks with fellow Old Freddy enjoyers we've reached the conclusion that those two would be nice QoL improvements.

And yes, he was heaps of fun. Easily my all-time favorite killer, and I would do anything to have him back.

I bet he was. I started playing when demogorgon came out. Old Freddy was long gene at that point.

having old Freddy must’ve been very scary back then, because you HAD NO IDEA where he is until he pulled you into the dream world. Seeing your rework of Freddy will bring that horror element back. That’ll make Freddy fun to go against.

And scary it was, my friend. DBD is currently very lacking in spookiness, but when we take its golden days into consideration (2017), Freddy and Michael were easily the scariest killers.

As he approached, you didn't hear the overwhelming sound of the Terror Radius, you heard a macabre lullaby, which thanks to its non-directional effect instantly made you wonder where he was.And suddenly, you were being pulled into the Dream World. You could see him, and he could see you.

This scary approach is one of the countless reasons why I loved him.
