SWF Teams are often some of the easiest to beat when they're all pulling each other off the hooks in front of the killer.
D-strike could use a nerf, I totally agree on that - survivors don't deserve a get off the shoulder free perk after the killer has hit them twice and downed them.
The game is certainly getting a little more challenging for survivors while making it slightly easier for killers but it's never been a truly one sided game - there's always been ways and means to beat each team it just depends on if the killer can capitalise and find the flaws.
It's ok though, enjoy the game.
I also wouldn't really say it's a popular game at all - peak of 16K which was an immediate drop off after that with only one bump, now it averages 300 players, probably due to copyright issues and it's simply not that fun to play really.

Got it free on ps4, installed when the dbd error was going on. Spawned in as jason in front of someone in a house and i hear him say "hes outside the house, oh, ah ######### i stepped in a trap. Well, im dead." and some 10 year old saying he found some car keys gogogo... Slashed the one guy in the trap, crappy animation, rest of the skills just felt horrible after playing dbd. On the other hand - if you understand video games like a large portion of this forum do - you have to understand that while some sides might not like some things they're there to make each side enjoyable and more engaging, while they might be at the expense of the other sides fun, each side can find fun in finding ways around each others things
TLDR; If you think games should be made where only one said can win because they're "unbeatable" you probably don't understand that both sides need to enjoy the game.

This is 90% of my games so far lol. Killers are getting multiple hooks and usually a kill before a single gen is even touched xD

The thing is, if a counselor knew what they were doing they could run circles around jason. When everyone teamed up he was pretty much a joke if he didnt play it right. But Jason could still kill them all because he had the power. Jason was definently NOT unbeatable. I've survived countless encounters against him when I would play. If the counselors used every single strong item in the game they could still be defeated if you played right. Plus they could kill Jason and trust me that was extremely easy once you get grouped with people who knew what they were doing. I've never once been killed as Jason because I played around them and picked them off all one by one. And when they did try to kill me they always failed. Well my point is that Jason can still kill if he plays it right and counselors can escape easily if they capitalize on Jason's mistakes. That is how dbd should be. The game should be balanced very well if both sides know exactly what they're doing. Luckily we're slowly getting there where the game will be balanced for both sides if they play good enough. All I do as survivor is do at least 1/3 vial and then go die and move to next game. Don't even bother doing gens, takes too long with bad teammates and end with all 4 dead anyway.

There's always one, isn't there? @DeadByFlashlight got it right - this is why we can't have nice things. I don't understand the motivations of people like this. Surely the game is more fun if everyone is enjoying themselves? Why would you go out of your way to ruin someone's day like that? Everyone wants the cool skins. We're all in the same boat here, trying to get objectives as killer and as survivor to get the points we need. It just seems like there must be something seriously wrong if you're so lacking in empathy that you actually get joy from denying someone else a simple pleasure like a fun skin when it doesn't hurt you at all.

@Boss I know, right! I've made so many friends in this game just by being nice to people. I've been playing with a group during the event that I met last week because I played killer against them and decided to be nice. Even if I don't end up making friends exactly, I always enjoy that warm, happy feeling knowing that everyone enjoyed themselves, even if I lost or died. That's why I think good sportsmanship is so important, because even if you lose it feels like it really was a "gg".

But as a new player, I don't care about the event. I just want to play DBD and learn the ins and outs of being a killer. As far as the skins, I'll buy any I want from the store. As far as empathy for faceless, random internet people? No, I don't have any. They are faceless, random internet people that I am highly unlikely to ever meet again.
If I decide to login during the event, I'm just playing DBD normally. That means chase and hook. If they get their petals done in the meantime, that's fine. It's not like I intend to camp the flowers or anything. But I'm still going to be playing normal DBD.

@Kilmeran That's fair, although it's a bit sad what you said about empathy. If you're only kind to people when there are consequences for not being so (that is, with people you know or see in person) then that's not really kindness, it's self-preservation. But I get that some people don't value things like kindness and empathy as highly as I do, and I don't want to derail the thread into a discussion on ethics, so I'll let it go lol.
My main issue with OP is not that he's playing the game normally, which is what you seem to be talking about and that's fine - it's a competitive game, someone has to lose - but that he seems to be taking some kind of fiendish delight in being the cause of someone else's suffering or misfortune.
