Can’t get 5th anniversary crown.

I play on Switch and during the fifth year anniversary twice I didn’t get my crown. First I got it as Meg and escaped through the exit gates. Secondly I achieved a 4K with Doctor and didn’t get it. Both times I had found and used the pedestal, and had the sparkling effects. Is there a way to get the crowns I’m owed and prevent this from happening in the future? I did manage to get a crown as Trickster.
