Character difficulty levels

Just been pondering why any of the survivors/killers have a suggested difficulty on their description.

With all of the complaints of killers needing changes, nerfs, performance issues, it just made me question why it exists. Survivors are simply characters will all of the same stats, killers are the only subjective group.

It's just a pointless feature I have wondered why it continues to exists. The perks that come with these characters vary greatly with certain builds, and even then are entirely situational in most cases.

I just don't get it, picking up any killer for the first time is going to be hard no matter what. How useful their powers and abilities are can range greatly across different maps.

Killer difficulty is based off their power while survivors their perks. Laurie was hard because old object would be hard for a new player to understand and use for example

Some definitely don’t line up though like spirit and Freddy being hard or trapper being easy
