Eruption is actually a really well-designed perk
It's a really fun perk to use. There are no limits to running it, you can literally make it work on absolutely ANY killer because it has no basic attack requirement.
It makes use of the somewhat new Incapacitated status effect (which prevents survivors from doing the generator) in order to slow down gens for the survivors for a bit longer. It generates more slowdown and gives the killer more time to react.
The only change I would make to it, is allow the killer to mark gens while the perk is on cooldown. Other than that, it's an amazing perk and a really well-designed one, and I recommend you to try it out!

I tried it out on PH over Corrupt (because you can take away my I'm All Ears and BBQ over my rotten, fetid corpse) and while fun I still think Corrupt gave me a lot more value.
Chase heavy killers do better forcing survivors to come to them, area control killers need the shorter space, so the only killers I see it having maximum value on is high mobility killers, but even then on Nurse, Blight, and Spirit RuinUndying exists if you wanna be optimal.
It's a fun perk, very well designed, but it doesn't have the strength to kick out any of the meta. Except on Freddy, oh my word on Freddy its such a blast. Pun intended.

No it's all but a well design perk, you have to kick multiple gen to really be effective, and after activation, you have to kick again some gens, the amount of time lost is incredibly high, some time you haven't in the higher ranks :/

Its a time sink perk whose main status effect is negated by SWF telling the others when they are about to go down.
Its good given time and against solos but so is Third Seal and that comparison not a good sign.
Killers lack time for most time sinks but this is one that's also hurt by SWF along with just general low power unless a lot of time is invested.
