PC - joysticks on PS4 controller configured via Steam Input do not work
I only have a dualshock 4, but based on other posts on the forums this seems to also affect PS5 controllers and likely any other controller that is leveraging Steam Input to provide input to the game.
Using Steam Input's playstation 4 controller support, the controller works fine in menus, all inputs including joysticks are recognized by the game.
In the game itself, the input from either joystick is ignored. You can't move your character with the left stick or move the camera with the right stick. If you pause while in-game the stick continues to work in the pause menu, but you can't actually play. The fact that the stick works in the menu suggests Steam Input is functioning correctly and sending inputs to the game, but they are being ignored.
This post implies that an "anti-bot" change broke this functionality: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/62042#Comment_62042
If accurate, the change should be revisited. For one, other inputs coming in via Steam Input still work fine (all face buttons, bumpers, triggers etc are recognized) so it makes little sense to disable only the joysticks. For two, combatting bots by breaking steam input seems like using a sledgehammer to drive a nail, and wouldn't prevent macroing at some other level than the input layer.
Please fix Steam Input support.

I just tested DS4Windows to see if this could serve as a workaround, but after disabling Steam Input for the PS Controller and then installing DS4Windows along with its driver, the same issue occurs. Presumably it must use a similar method to Steam Input to generate the inputs for the game and is blocked by the same issue.
As far as I can tell this means it's impossible to play on PC with anything that isn't natively supported by the DBD client (I'm assuming this would be limited to XBox controllers but I only own Playstation controllers and won't be purchasing anything else just to see if it will work).
