Lobby QoL - your thoughts?

What would you change about the lobby if you could?

- I would like to be able to switch killers again. Can someone tell me why this was changed to begin with? Survivors can swap characters and items last second so why can't a killer change their character?

- I think survivors should be able to see who is swf and who is not.

- survivors should have their perks on display so us solo chumps can try and synergies with each other ^^ (obvs killer can't see the perks)

- keys should be more obvious in lobby.

- this one isn't really the lobby but I would like to be able to have 1 challenge selected for survivor and 1 challenge selected for killer. That way when I switch I don't need to be going back and forth from the archives.

- again not the lobby (and this is minor) but on the offering screen I would like the Killer's offering to be obvious. Maybe it could burn red or something? I always bring cake... yet there is that 1 survivor that never does. I want my survivors to know I am not a stingy killer ^^"

    Id like a cod ww2 style interactive lobby in which you can walk around, interact with other players including killers, buy cosmetics, pick challenges etc etc

    The Team Fortress 2 Mann VS Machine thing where the timer gets shortened every time a player presses ready.

    At 60 seconds, 1 player pressing ready would remove 11 seconds, allowing for a maximum of 44 seconds to be cut. (Not 55, because 5 players ready is still instant start. (Although 55 brings us down to 5 seconds anyway, but you get the point.))

    From 55 to 59 seconds left, it would be 10 seconds removed per player.

    From 50 to 54, it's 9.

    • 45-49, 8
    • 40-44, 7
    • 35-39, 6
    • 30-34, 5
    • 25-29, 4
    • 20-24, 3
    • 15-19, 2

    You can un-ready and it would re-add the seconds, but the timer is always going.

    So if you ready up and un-ready 3 seconds later, the timer will still have advanced by 3 seconds from the time before you readied up.


    Basically what i want: If everyone is ready, then LET'S GO! 😎

    Show the map. There's zero reason to ever play Nurse/Blight/Billy/Oni etc on a map like Hawkins or Lerys. There's zero reason to ever take Balanced Landing on Shelter Woods, or Bamboozle on The Game. Survivors on Dead Dawg should take Prove Thyself and a toolbox to break up the multiple 3 gens. Stuff like that. The game is so unbalanced in large part because players can never truly optimize their gameplay in a public match setting. Every stat the devs see is noise because of that.

    dumb little thing but I'd like to see when survivors turn their character and have the ordering of survivors consistent across all screens. I love the idea of a 3 man swf turning to look at the rando 4th at the same time

    All really good ideas, although I'd like a few more changes:

    • Show survivor ranks to other survivors (To be honest I'd use this to dodge e.g. rank 20's. It's not a fair or good experience at red ranks.)
    • Allow survivors the option to report each other. I want to be able to create an in-game report against racists in chat for example and I'd rather not play a game with them in order to report them in-game afterwards. (I reported the same racist 3 or 4 times and he was still being extremely racist in every other lobby I saw him in days/a week afterwards so I assume reporting via ticket without actually reporting them in-game is pointless)
    • Have an option to toggle the chat censor off/on.

    I wouldn't mind this tbh. I believe everyone has a more fun match when they know what they are going into/ can prepare for it! Both killers and survivors would benefit from it (as long as Killers could switch character in lobby again).

    Knowing the map and the killer would be ideal. I understand why that isn't a thing tho- too many lobby dodges which make queue times ridiculous ;_;

    I know a lot of people are against survivors knowing the killer but if survivors could slap on perks to better play against their foe I think more people would stick around and not dc as much. Just my unpopular hot take ^^"

    Why not! This would make the lobby more interactive and goofy. Maybe the devs could make it so survivors could do their gestures as well ^^

    Another thing I would suggest is to allow survivors to see each other perks in game by using the pause menu.

    The reason we can't swap killer in the lobby, is due to Matchmaking. It is planned that we are being matched up with Survivors who are appropriate for our skill level with the character we are queuing with.

    • Able to save and pick Perks loadout, a single click can change your Perks.
    • Show other's perks to see their play style and optimize team perks build (such as no Small game bad, but 2 Small game isnt good either)

    Perk loadouts would be amazing!!!!

    I have a healing build, totem build, and sneaky build. It would be such a time saver to just click the loadout I want!
