How did you discover Dead By Daylight?

I used to watch a streamer who played DbD with her friends a lot. So after some time, I bought the game but didn't touch it for months (I was really afraid of playing it because I'm not a fan of PVP games and I know people are harsh when there's a "competitive" scenario). After 4 months, I started playing survivor, it was really, really fun. Then I started playing Huntress, I did enjoy her. But then I discovered the Nurse (I knew how difficult she was, but her power was everything to me). Today I think I have more than one thousand hours only playing Nurse and recently I felt in love with the Spirit. So I'm basically splitting my time between Nurse and Spirit!

And you? Tell us your history!

I watched a streamer who got the game. Looked promising and then I bought it myself and 5 years later I'm still playing it lol.

Too bad the streamer I watched stopped streaming like 3 months after that because of real life problems, never saw her again.

I saw it pop up on Youtube a couple of times but didn't look too deep into it. Then I happened to start watching OhmWrecker and got fairly interested, which built up over time until I decided to start playing.

Not gonna lie, Felix being total eye-candy and shirtless David being a thing did help bring me over the threshold to give DBD a try.

Seen the curtain call trailer and was somewhat interested but never bought it

When it was added to game pass though I gave it a try and 2000 hours later I’m still enjoying it

I saw some videos on YouTube about it and decided the game looked interesting enough to give it a try.

I was going through a hard time and wanted a new game to get my mind off of what was going on in my life and my friend recommended this game. At the time, I didn't have a platform that could play the game (and my laptop wasn't big enough), so I mainly just watched youtube videos on dbd then it released on switch 3 months later. I was a huge SAW fan so the first dlc I ever bought was SAW and was a Pig main for the longest time to the point where 6 months later when the pandemic hit, I only had about 10 teachables unlocked (mostly from the shrine) yet had about 600 hours or somethin like that.

Most play time came from breaks and being a switch player, I could literally do like 4 homework assignments before finding a lobby so I was able to play a lot and I still have a lot of fun with it.

A friend of mine whom I gameshare with bought it and mostly played killer. Got on to try it out and play KYF with a group of friends around mid-2019 and wasn't impressed, and didn't play it again for about a year later until someone convinced me to give it a real shot during the 4th year anniversary.

A year later, it has become my main game that I still have so much fun on, through both the ups and downs.

I was watching Ninja before when I played Fortnite, when he suddenly had a few days playing DbD with some other streamers. I thought it looked fun so I started watching DbD on YouTube and Twitch before eventually buying the game for myself. Now it is my go-to game :)

An old friend of mine wanted me to get it, but another friend of mine (who didn't actually play the game) gifted it to me.

Didn't realize that would lead to my everyday video game.

It was a free weekend somewhere late October 2018, decided to give it a shot, and that's that.

    On Steam Free weekend.

I had the game standing in my Wishlist for a year. Trailers and concept looked really cool, but I was hesitant cause I hate multiplayer games. Then when I see it on free weekend I thought maybe it is time to try it. I purchased the game after 2 hours of constant skill check misses :))

Roommates discovered it through means I don't know, and then pointed to Jeff and said "look, it's a metalhead character like you", so I bought the game.

It was free on ps plus in summer 2018.

Otherwise I would probably never found it. Never heard of it before at all.

It was on sale on PS4 for like $15 with a good bit of the DLC that was available in early 2018, so I said 'why not?' Now I own it on two platforms with all DLC, LOL. I'm a sucker.

I saw the trailer and thought it looked okay. Wasn't too excited about it. But then I saw both Markiplier and Jacksepticeye play it and I was immediately entangled in the entity.

It's really stupid, but I was playing a web game with pets and somebody had designed their pets after DBD characters. Went wiki browsing, thought it looked interesting, watched youtube videos, thought it looked even more interesting, and finally got it.

Splatoon 2 and Pokemon were my main games. I noticed DBD before and it looked interesting but never bought it.

We moved last year and I found a $50 nintrndo gift card. I decided to buy it and DLC. I tried survivor first but didn't like being scared. I tried Trapper because he was "easy". Then I tried Hillbilly but then I found Doctor. Hes been mostly my main ever since (Doctor, Demo, Myers, Wraith). I also just started using Spirit and she's fun. Im about 200 hours logged and am green ranks. Don't really care about pipping

It was the year of 2018. I was playing Friday the 13th: The Game with a friend. Jason wasn't really doing anything so we just kept talking, and when I asked him about game suggestions he mentioned Dead by Daylight. I bought it 1 month later.
