I honestly did not care either way as I never quit my games. The one game I did rage quit was because I was facing a wall and saw that beam of light, immediately pulled to the opposite direction, and still dropped my down. I was so frustrated I went to sit in a corner and wait for the game to end while doing my event in Fate Grand Order. Lol.

Losing blood points is a bigger penalty than a time out if you ask me. That always happened in Overwatch, their servers would crash, you would get penalized. That was 15 minutes, but I guess at least you could play quick play.

People who were not suffering from the lag issues most likely were the ones who were vocal about bringing it back. I get the frustration. A lot of people taking advantage to dc when the smallest thing does not go their way. It sucks. But it also sucks for the people who are lagged out and would be punished with time outs that were not their fault.

Bhvr should have patched this sooner. This has been going on for weeks. Ever since the R.E. chapter. A lot of players have not been able to to enjoy the 5th year anniversary event because of it.

They actually can't patch it sooner, it takes like 3 weeks for patches to be approved by Sony and Microsoft and you need to give enough time to have a patch date where they both line up for the same evening, it's a long winded process and we are always months behind on client version from behavior, it's the cost of crossplay.

3 week to approve a patch? I've seen them release patch fixes for new chapters within DAYS of them coming out.

Because the issue was realized days later so the fix went up days after it was sent to Sony/Microsoft, it might seem like it's happening live to you but I promise you it's not. The version of the game we play is always like 3 versions behind what bhvr are working on. Sony especially have to vet all updates and he approved to make sure it doesn't harm their OS and that alone takes weeks and there's no way around it.

You're not making sense. The lag issue was realized from day 1.

The re chapter released broken on consoles, the issue wasn't identified and fixed until a few weeks ago when it was sent to Sony/Microsoft for approval, we was then told it was going to be 3 weeks until we got the fix ( the 28th patch ). This is because any update takes 3 weeks for us to receive due to the approval and alignment process, I'm not sure what you don't understand here, bhvr literally confirmed this process on Twitter weeks ago.

When you open up your PC game to crossplay with consoles you lose the ability to hotfix on the same day.

Still not making sense. Issues have not been identified until a chapter was released many times before, and they managed to release a fix for them within a few days of the chapter's release. So why all of a sudden is it taking 3 weeks to release a patch?

Amazingly the cosmetic glitches are always fixed pronto even though they don't get identified until they are released. Never a 3 week stall on them.

Because you're constantly living in the past, those fixes that appeared to be days for you were fixed weeks ago, you send the 1.0 update for approval, you realize there's an issue so you fix it then send the fix for approval, you now have 2 updates qued, the 1.0 update and the 1.0 hot fix, one will go live in 15 days the other will go live in 17 days.

You cannot circumvent this process and it's why developers are always versions ahead on what they are working on versus what we receive.

    Edit:

This is what they are referring to regarding the console fix.

"Those fixes that appeared to be days for you were fixed weeks ago".....issues that were not identified until the chapter released were fixed weeks before they were even identified?

Ok I'm just stepping away from this discussion. You're just not making any sense to me. No offense.

I think the issue is you take patch notes like they are happening in the now, they are not. Look at the tweet I edited into my post I think that makes it pretty clear that even when consoles are so ######### they can barely play, and bhvr have the fix, they cannot push out the fix without waiting the 3 weeks.

Sucks for the people crashing but the game was basically unplayable anyway with every survivor who felt like they were even slightly challenged just DC'ing.
