Time to make us whole again!(Dead Space is coming back!)
I'm over the moon seeing one of my favorite franchises coming back from the dead(thanks RE remake games) and hopefully this time, it's here to stay and EA doesn't screw it up again.

How exciting! I loved Dead Space 1 and 2 so I really hope its like those two.

It's a remake of the first game I think? So should not be like the third game.

I've always seen that this is a really common opinion for the series.
But after playing the three games back-to-back, I have never understood why people say that 3 had too much action and too little horror, but never say the same thing about 2, which was much worse in terms of over-the-top action hero sequences. 2 and 3 were nearly identical in terms of presentation, and neither of them hold a candle to the incredibly tense atmosphere of the first game. All of them were good games though, imo. The only thing I really disliked about 3 was where the story ended.
I think it'd be awesome if whatever this new project is could be spiritually more like the first game than the other two, but I'm not sure the silent protagonist is something they'd be willing to go back to nowadays.

The look already feels much darker than the original and has potential to become a lot more visceral.
Loved the game when it comes out, and will remain optimistic this will take horror further.

At least from what I've seen from articles and the such this is just a straight up remake of the first game. Basically, on the same level as the RE remakes as of recent but they did say they are looking at some of the improved features of the sequels to put into the remake. One specific one they mentioned was the improved zero-g gameplay of DS2 witch I'm very happy they're looking at that to implement.
