Bloodlust...

You just need to learn how to win the chase. Bloodlust can't be changed without map changes as well, but you can learn how to win chases without Bloodlust being changed in any way.

Yeah, I'll just learn how to lose a killer that uses his eyes. I almost never lose a survivor when I'm killer. The problem is how unfair it can feel because they get a cheap speed boost.
1 -
It doesn't feel unfair to me, though, because I understand killers need to be able to catch survivors at some point.
1 -
You don't seem to understand that not every killer in the game gets benefit from bloodlust on the same level. Spirit/Deathslinger/Nurse for example don't care about bloodlust, and if you were to get rid of it entirely without changing the maps, all you're gonna do is widen the gap even more between the killers who have strong anti loop/catch up powers and the ones who don't.

I think it's also important to see why bloodlust was introduced originally wayyy back in 1.5. It wasn't in the original game, and therefore may have been brought in partially due to issues with chases.
Obviously, the game has evolved a lot since then, but by remembering it was put in to solve an issue, then in order to remove it, it should make sense that the original problem would also dealt with.
Ultimately, whatever happened, there would always be a backlash to whichever action is taken, and people will see it unfair when others won't. But at present, as that bloodlustless weekend showed, the mechanic is still very much needed, at least until major changes are made - and they would need to be made first before attempting to adjust bloodlust.

Win chases. you aren't meant to keep the Killer busy at a loop indefinitely; that'd make winning actually impossible for the majority of Killers. Be reasonable, dude.

And as someone who played on Haddonfield and Badham I can assure you that it's still needed to bandaid crappy map design, or certain windows become old-school infinites.
0 -
What tiles are you possibly talking about that get massively affected by a 5% speed boost?
0 -
Why are maps still poorly designed and still have infinites(rcpd *cough*)? Why do exhaustion perks exist to extend chases? play some killer you'll find out bloodlust 1 sometimes is needed to just end the pain.
1 -
Stuff like Badham-Pallets outside of the Buildings. E.g. the Car Loops right next to the school with the one car and the rubbish/stones. Those are fair tiles which become unfair once Bloodlust kicks in.
1 -
Why do you bring up strong Pallet-Loops when defending Bloodlust? You need to break the Pallet, which removes Bloodlust anyway.
1 -
No, those tiles aren't changed by a single tier of bloodlust. Getting hit by a killer there with a 5% speed increase means you got outplayed, it doesn't really do anything to change how the tile is played because it doesn't give killers enough speed at that level. Myers T3 lunge is significantly more impactful. I've certainly never felt like I've beenhit because the killer's been chasing me unjnterrupted for at least 15 seconds.
Tier 2-3, though, are different. Tier 2 is just enough that it can cover the killer in a case of mispositioning during the vaulting* phase of the tile play, and tier 3 just breaks it completely.
Edit: *the vaulting back and forth phase, that is.

I never said strong pallet loops if you read my post. I said infinites. Specifically the interrogation room on rcpd comes to mind, it in the shape of a T with doors at the arms and a vault at the base of the T, if you slow vault its an infinite and the only way to get a hit is with bloodlust.
you can't remove it if they can't make all maps have good design, simple. they manage to put them in new maps they are creating. its crazy man.

I am being reasonable. It sucks when the killer is playing badly but eventually downs you because of a stupid speed boost. It needs some tweaks.
0 -
If you make the killer need to hit tier 3 to down you that’s a chase where 2-3 gens get done. So that chase can easily win your team the game.
5 -
That's true, but I could've lasted longer without the speed boost. 😆
0 -
well yeah but at that point it doesn’t matter. A win is a win
0 -
Not if I get camped or my teammates wont help. I usually play solo.
0 -
That’s only if we look at it as a 1v1 tho. If we look at it as teams your team still won because the killer only managed to kill 1 of the 4 people he was supposed to kill.
4 -
That's true, but I really only consider me escaping a win. 😅

This is how much it gives at tier 3, OP
Originally it was much more powerful.
You give it too much credit, no offense

well said.

1 map on the game wow.
0 -
so survivors get rewarded with broken skilless exhaustion perks and the hold W meta but killers can't?
0 -
I didn't say Killers can't. I said look at the mechanic not remove it.
0 -
Can’t name any maps with more than 3 strong pallets
0 -
The Game, Coldwind, RCPD
0 -
the game literally has over 20 strong pallets
0 -
The game, sure, cold wind no, RCPD not really just has like 2-3 amazing ones that are broken and need nerfed
0 -
By the time a killer built up any bloodlust tier past the first one they're usually over commiting to a chase and will be losing a lot of the game already. Why do you even care? It's not a neccesary mechanic but it's not like that impactful and helps a lot killers who might be in struggling situations/are outmatched because our matchmaking system is f*cked?
0 -
+ just reset their bloodlust with one of the bunch of god pallets each map has.
0 -
Have you seen have the maps …the maps are either empty with nothing but trees or you can just walk around majority of the pallets….
