Why is Blight collision so horrible?

Literally every map I play on as blight, I run straight into a object/wall and I just slide across it like devs tf? It's so ######### annoying too because it completely makes you lose the chase and ######### you in every way possible. It's by far the worst on Ormond because you can't even run into the snow piles or picnic tables which are in the middle of everything.

The Blight can be such a good killer sometimes but when this stuff happens it's just so disappointing and unfair. But hey dbd being unfair what a suprise right?

Currently these feeds into his skill cap. Knowing what can be reliably bounced on and what can not.

I agree it’s a game losing moment to slide off kill shack while chasing a survivor in a time management game.

It reminds me of Nurse from about a year ago. Knowing can be blinked through and what couldn’t.

I still think collision should be fixed, and the skillgap should be created by skilled play not knowing if a specific prop on a specific map will send you sliding slide or not

Ormond... I second that. They should change the snow color from white to yellow, since that entire map might as well be covered in butter. Blight just slides off of everything

Because BHVR tries to make ambitious killer powers but it turns out that they lack the time to properly develop them and/or they don't really know how to do it. Just think that Blight has been released with dwarf POV and keeped that for a lot of months. His design is one of the best in the roster but he's just a complete mess on a technical level.

Because collision sucks for everything and everyone. The only difference is Blight relys on collosion much more.

Well you see, that would be true if the objects you can and can't bounce off of stayed consistent.

But what you're able to bounce off of isn't entirely consistent thanks to BHVR's spaghetti code. Which seems to break in new and imaginative ways with every update.

I wish I could master blight, but a combination of horrible console performance and inconsistent environmental collision keeps me away from him.

Genuine question: could they not just give his Rush the same collision as Billy's chainsaw sprint?

I've been wondering this for a while. I don't think you'd be able to slide as much, but I'd rather have more consistent collisions.

Most of maps hate Blight sadly.

I'd agree if it wasn't so inconsistent but currently its more like a gamble then anything sometimes you'll slide of the tree other times you wont who knows but if you roll low you ain't getting that hit that you otherwise would have.

Billy's collision isn't as consistent as one might think either but when blight first released had probably a more similar hitbox to Billy while rushing and frankly blight felt terrible. If you think rounded objects now are bad for blight back then a simple tree was basically impossible for him though I'm sure some of it was just that we didn't know how to play him yet but trust me when I say we don't want to go back to those times
