A question for Blight players.

Why do you swing when coming out of Lethal Rush? I've only ever faced Blight once as survivor, so I didn't see it there (corn map), but I see a variety of streamers do it. Not when you're trying to flick, or hit a pallet, but just when Rush is about to end and there's nothing to actually hit. Is it to skip part of the fatigue or something?

Because swinging late lets you keep your MAX speed while normally it would decrease. This grants you more distance.

Plus there is only an extra cooldown on landed hits.

Aka Missed hits DON'T increase the post rush cooldown while giving you more distance from your rush.

Think of it like swinging at the end of Legion's Frenzy. Might as well get that bit of extra distance.

As others have said, you swing early to end a rush because otherwise you enter a pretty lengthly cooldown (I'm counting the slowdown before the actual cooldown as part of it)

If BHVR made it so he is stunned for longer if he does that (like they do with Nurse), then I doubt you'll see many players doing it anymore.

It allows you to cancel it out quickly, instead of wasting your time on getting the long slam cooldown.
