Is it me or am I seeing less console users?
Now I understand that this game is played on 6 different platforms. But based on MY expereince in playing the last couple of days, I'm noticing I'm getting paired up with a lot more steam users than what I usually get paired up. In a lot of my matches in the past week I been getting paired up with whole full steam squads which is rare ever since cross-play was introduce. So why am I'm not seeing as much people from different platforms, or maybe I'm just getting paired up with more steams players than usual. But has anyone else noticed?

Miiight be due to the fact that there is a cheater epidemic going around right now, and some people are turning off Crossplay because of it.

Could be a factor. I tried the game out on my ps4 pro a couple of weeks ago. And It's bad, it reminds me of fallout new vegas on my ps3. And that was a single player, now imagine an online game were a freeze could cost you a down, or an escape. I thought people were exaggerating, but once I saw it with my own on eyes I believed it.

Yyeaahh, it isn't enjoyable, I'm betting that when the issue gets fixed we'll see more console players.
And if hackers can finally grow up

I think it's because console is unplayable. Everytime killer uses power or survivor uses dead hard it lags out and it's annoying to play when you get these lag spikes and framedrops 15 to 40 times in one match.

With the recent patches killing performance many of us consolers have either stopped playing altogether or opted out of Crossplay in an attempt to level the playing field some.

Frame rates issues have forced people to CP off to get fair matches.

Most likely a lot of old gen console users stopped playing altogether. My brother has not played in weeks, as well as my friends who play on console which is most of them since most are still the previous gen.

great, so we got more and more people playing dbd and then they leave because the game-breaking bug doesn't get fixed with a hotfix

Yeah, like others said. Some of us on last gen kinda gave up and we are playing other games.

Not really - seems about the same for me. When I play solo I usually get 1-2 console teammates which hasn't changed. When I play killer it is usually 1-3 console survivors - and hasn't changed there either. Could just be RNG making it seem like less for you. When I play realllly late at night/early morning I have always noticed more PC users than console and usually my evening play is more console players.

I haven't seen a cheater in any of my matches in probably 7-8 months.
People like to exaggerate and use words like epidemic which would imply it is happening on a widespread scale - which it's not.

I'm pretty sure the performance issues are a more likely cause. I'm pretty sure cheaters are able to queue into any matchmaking queue they want. They can be on PC and join the ps5 crossplay off queue. Prior to this new cheat that lets them break the report menu cheaters would often make themselves show up as being crossplay players despite being on PC to make themselves harder to report.

To be fair I hadn't seen a hacker pre-5.0.2 for about 4, 5 months maybe? Post 5.0.2 I see 4 within a week.
Something is going on (and yes of course I reported every single one, but they're getting smarter and smarter and sometimes it links to a different Steam profile and sometimes it auto-fills the report box with... Very nsfw sayings).

I haven't played in about 5 days. The lag got so bad I was getting kicked mid match. I am just waiting for the patch on Tuesday now.

I haven't seen hardly any console killers. I have a sneaking suspicion its due to the framerate issues/lack of mouse and keyboard input. 90% of my killers are steam users. Red ranks though mileage may differ.

Yeah I been getting mostly steam killer users in the past couple of weeks. And it's been pretty bad, since for some reason pc steam killers tend to play more sweaty than any other users from different platforms.
